Me too. We all hang out from time to time and I have most of their numbers in my phone.

The guy looked over at me and didn't even seem to notice/care so he must not be an enthusiast. I get all gitty whenever I see another E39 M5 and usually we both nod and or wave etc.

Every M5 driver in my town is oblivious to my car. May have to do with the debadge, but I still find it odd.

Super easy. Everything is plug & play from 4:3 to 16:9.

1. Remove TPMS trim, and Passenger trim to expose the 4:3 unit
2. Remove phillips screws (believe 4), and if I remember correctly the unit has a little latch on either side that needs to be lifted - easy to notice
3. Pull unit out, and remove wire harness (believe 2 of them) - they are held together by a little latch, you just push the latch down and the harness pops out
4. Reverse installation for the 16:9

Dinan Suspension is really nice, it's stiffer than stock but not super stiff like coilovers. I don't track the M5 so I see no really point in coilovers, I rather set it and forget it. I see your in Maryland, you should come out to C&C Meets if your not too far away

I usually setup a semi-annual ///M5 meetup as well. Over the past 2 years we've had 15+ E39 M5's show up. The previous picture with us all lined up is almost every production color.

They are a special beast, and quite affordable right now. I have seen the market trend upwards though recently so now would be the time to buy!

Ugh all these e39 m5 threads... I've been thinking about getting one for a DD and then BAM, everyone and their mothers create threads. I think its a sign, I need to get an m5. Looks awesome.

I really like the color variety. It's not often you can have a large group of the same car and see so many of the offered colors.

I have seen you roll in to Khols Cars and Coffee a few years back and LOVED the green. Definitely a color you don't see often on e39 m5s. The interior really sets it apart too!

Appreciate it! Over the years I've been trying to get every production color to show up at once. I got close in that picture but still missing a couple. Maybe this year i'll be able to get them all

Great color combo, and you have the great rare '00 lighting. Awesome. Don't change a thing, not even the wood. Cars this special need to be kept clean and stock !
