    Manual windows

    Is anyone parting a euro model that doesn't have power windows? Im trying to source the parts to do the conversion.

    As in a yard? Its pretty hard to find any e23s in my area....

    Tell me about it. I've never seen an E23 in any salvage yard. This one is complete, sitting on private property. He wanted too much for what was basically a parts car. '82 Saphirblau 735i, 5-speed, blue corduroy/velour fabric interior.



    It was caught in a flash flood, but the interior is in OK shape. They must have dried the car out pretty quickly - there isn't much sign of rust.

    There are two e23s in a salvage yard pretty close to me, but of course they have power windows. An '83 and an '84.

    Wow, damn, I would totally buy that for my manual trans swap.

    How much did they want for it? Just curious.

    He originally wanted $1200. The 5-speed was ideal (shifted nicely too), but I'm pretty sure it also has the Euro high-compression "dirty" M30.

    I still have his number - if anyone wants me to go over and ask about the car/take some pictures/put it on a hauler I'm more than willing. He seemed pretty strapped for cash.

    Its to bad you're like 6 hours from me or I'd really think about it. This summer I'd like to buy a manual parts car and do a manual swap on my car.

    IIRC it also had low mileage - maybe 130K? Not sure. If you wanted parts for a swap it'd be a good candidate. Tell you what - if you decide to go for it I'll buy the interior off you.

    Hey' I have an 82 728 euro with manual windows and manuals trans I'm parting out. I'm in Va near Winchester. Bring a tow dolly and haul it home for 600 bucks. Day trip?
