Totally onboard with that date. Our baby is due in Feb, so I have to stay somewhat close to home throughout the month. Had to bail on an HPDE at Thunderhill on the 7th, but it's for a good reason!

Be sure to keep me updated, and I'll do the same. I'm brainstorming worthy spots for the meet and waiting for others to chime in as well. Glad you can make it! We'll all shoot for that date - hopefully since it's over a month out, most everyone will be available.

It's possible I may be out of town on a ski trip that weekend, but it's not officially booked yet. I'll do what I can to make it happen.

Anyone have any location ideas? Large parking lots? Good photo locations?

I've never heard of Vasona Park, but sounds like a possibility. Waiting on more people..

I drive Santa Rosa-Santa Cruz a lot for family stuff. It's about 2.5 hours. In the Coupe I bet I could do it in 2. Los Gatos will be about 30 min less.

Oh. Foothill park in Los Altos may be good but would be kind of far for Bergy. He is the main reason for this meet after all.

Exactly what I don't feel like doing in one day if it's avoidable... 5 hours of highway driving. Less than a handful of people have expressed interest so far, but luckily the proposed date is over a month out, so I'm waiting for more opinions/ideas.

Haha. South to mid-bay probably best. I'm not even sure what that means, since I don't know that area well. Berkeley? I'm going to try to time my transmission service trip with all of this - thinking about Performance Technic, if they ever get back to me with a quote - so I'll likely be on an overnight up there anyway, making the location a bit more flexible.

Nope. Los Gatos is on the way for Bergy to his destination of Pleasanton and on the outskirts of San Jose. It is reasonably accessible for Bay Area folks.
Another option could be Shoreline Park in Mountain View....

It's right in the middle of where everyone is located (SF, East Bay, and South Bay) and easily accessible from 580 and 680.

I am not adamant about anything.
My goal was to attempt to best accomodate Bergy. He is the Monterey area i believe, maybe Gilroy.
His wife is about to have a baby and time is precious with all that is going on, moving etc.
I was merely offering suggestions. I'm sorry if that offends you some how.
