This BMW Workshop Manual set of DVDs looks like a much better deal for what appears to be the factory manuals.

If you want to spend the money, why not try to find an original 8 series shop manual in the binder. This way you have a hard copy of the information to reference while you work on the car.

there is a glitch in the JavaScript code... that happens on the downloadable one too.
When it gets to the last page of a section, that happens. use the "back" button on your browser to go back to the index

Click on words 'Repair Manual' when the page opens- then at the top RH of the next page, click on "Main Groups". Then you'll see the various repair groups menu.

I've noticed that clicking "Main Groups" sometimes causing an error where it replicates the top portion of the screen (the Header) multiple times down the page.

To circumvent this issue just reload the page and click "Main Groups" again.

Can't find a deterministic way to reproduce the bug. 15 year old code can be a mystery.

Problem seems to stem from the original CD relying on Adobe Flash to run and process the code. The problem is going to become more exaggerated soon, as Adobe has finally sunsetted this technology.
I played with it a bit myself too. I'm thinking the only way to really make it stable is to replace the "psuedo javascript" used for navigation with real code that isn't dependent on antique plugins...

I made sure all the actionscript/flash dependencies were ripped out. Just plain old JavaScript and HTML remain.

I’ll iterate on it when I have some time and try and clean the JS up a bit. It’s pretty rough.
