I'm a member from New Zealand. I've had a few bimmers, most recently a Dinan-tuned E39 540i but finally got hold of a 1991 850i. Lots to do on this one... Was originally Brilliant red but the PO repainted. Not a bad job but I'd like to restore the colour (or go Yellow) at some point. Am planning an S62/manual conversion (eventually) so it will likely get a new coat of paint when the engine's out. Enjoying smoothing out the M70 at the moment though!!

    Awesome shine on that paintwork!
Look forward to seeing you and the eight at the E31 Silver Anniversary celebrations in November.
Have you replaced those missing fasteners on the air inlet ducting yet?
My car had one of the six missing.

Thanks. Haven't picked up the new fasteners yet. The plastic shroud is a little out of shape so was debating whether to replace the whole lot... Until I spent all my cash on new MAFs and oxy sensors!

EDIT: Will definitely be there in November. Looking forward to seeing all those 8s in one place!
