A little over three years ago I flew with my wife to pick up one my favorite childhood cars...it was pretty much bone stock when I got it and the whole trip back to Texas was in limp mode and wipers that didn't do jack. But it was a fun trip none the less...
When I got it and as it stands...

I can't stop looking at this picture. Those are great looking wheels. Absolutely stunning.

I really wish I hadn't seen your wheels, I have a wheel problem. I have 3 sets now, and would probably buy a set like yours if I could find them. It looks pretty low now, I might go for more rubber the next time you buy, it would fill the wheel wells and make it ride a little smoother. I'm assuming you have the stock springs, the springs that everybody else would love to have.

Just finished putting the stripes on yesterday. The 3 year restoration of the Alpina is just about done!

Very very nice Roger.
What are the plans for it once you finish? If it were me I'd be buried in it!

Here is some pics of my slightly modified 91.
I bought the B7 after and it set the direction for the look of the 8
I still have a lot of work to do on the 8 to get it where I would like it be.

Thanks mikae31.
When I got this car years ago it was a little past the restoration point so it became the project car. The lsat time it was driven was in 2014 and after that for a 10 day period in 2017, I am hoping to be driving it again in the summer of 2020, but it will still be a constant work in progress.
In 2017 the hood was done and the rims were done (rims still need to be repainted as I am not too happy with the finish)
The headlights are still a work in progress, I was planning to make an enclosure and have a lense in front of them, but I am kind of glad I did not finish them, seeing as the current models of BMWs have moved away from the traditional circular shaped halos, I may be doing something different there, but that is still just a thought and I have nothing currently in the works as of yet.
As I mentioned earlier this is my project car and is a total hot rod, this car has the L98 small block and as the acs and abs work together with the original engine / transmission management it did not present a problem using 19 x 9 and 20 x 11. the front has the H&R springs while the back is stock, I was pleased with how the tire fills the wheel arches, but not to happy with the stretched look on the front tires and will be changing that from a 265 to a 275 hopefully this summer.

Before it started raining
My Stella turns 25 years old today.
Still as beautiful as the day she rolled off the Dingolfing production line.
