I've promised myself I'm going to try harder to document sightings photographically, so here's one to start. Black Sapphire Z4 3.0si Coupe with M wheels. Spotted on Land Blvd in Cambridge during the evening rush.
That was just one of a several E86 Coupes I've spotted in the couple of years near Boston, including:
Black Z4M Coupe on Main St. in Cambridge
Black 3.0si on Huntington Ave in near the MFA
Black 3.0si on Rt 1N Saugus
Sepang Bronze Z4M Coupe in Lower Allston (*Gorgeous* and recently sold for a great price)
Interlagos Blue 3.0si at Whole Foods in Charlestown
Alpine White 3.0si on Main St. in Wakefield
Imola Red Z4M Coupe parked along Boston Common
Probably a few more I can't remember. If you're the person who scored the Sepang Coupe, speak up! I'd like to see it up close.
One other Z-series sighting worth noting: Silver Z8 5.0 on Memorial Drive in Cambridge a year or 2 ago. One of only about 3 I've ever seen in the wild.

I've been meaning to post this but keep forgetting, spotted a phoenix yellow e46 m3 parked across the street from the Middle East in Cambridge this past Sunday. IIRC it was on black CSL style wheels.
Helrot m3 vert heading north on 84 around exit 74. NH plates

Phoenix Yellow (Z3) M Roadster spotted on Rt 1S in Saugus, MA around 11:45. First PY Roadie I've ever seen. OT, but about 2 minutes later I spotted a white Ferrari FF, also on 1 South. I think that's the 3rd time I've seen this particular car. I consider it an honorary clownshoe, hence the mention.
Back on topic: spotted farther north last week, E24 635csi in Montpelier, VT. Thanks for the photo, Trip!
I believe a 3.0 atlantic blue z3 roadster on 24S near Bridgewater yesterday. I was in my Coupe and you came up on me. 2nd Z3 i've seen in the wild while in my own that wasn't planned
P.s. the camera did a wacky job on those wheels, trippy

Black e36 with big ol wing, Black e36 with an older gentleman driving it, red e36 (pretty beat up) all seen in henniker nh I own the other red e36 and my girlfriend owns the white e36, we both live on campus in henniker. who are you people?
Love those camera artifacts! Most of the Atlanta Blue Z3 out there are 1.9L, but this one definitely has 6-cyl front end. Probably not a 3.0, though. Biggest tell is the 1996-1999 amber lenses on the turn signals.
And if you've only seen a handful in the wild, you are definitely not spending enough time in bumper-to-bumper Boston traffic! The only upside to stop and go traffic is uninterrupted time for car spotting. Have seen a couple of Fiskers in town, which I can justify mentioning through a tenuous Z-series connection.
I will stop with the OT mentions (soon!), but I want to put on record a red Alfa 8C spotted in Cambridge this summer. Surprised me, as I didn't know they were available in North America. So I checked Wikipedia, and apparently it was number 90 of 90 sold in the USA.
Back on topic, there is a parking lot in Cambridge that's home to 2 white M6, one E24 and one E63. I have been waiting forever to see them parked next to each other to get a nice multi-generational family photo. Hasn't happened yet.

My own car in the bone yard....
Red e36 m3 vert in jaffrey yesterday late morning. Waved and told you it looked good. was in my red e36 coupe.
Caught up with a black Z4 on 93S to 24S 20 minutes ago. Are you on here?
I was in my brilliantrot '87 325i convertible yesterday and pulled up alongside a brilliantrot '89 325i convertible on Beacon st in Boston. It was quite bizarre- same wheels, black top, and black interior. Said hello to the owner!
I got off the wrong exit for NED last weekend and drove on some back roads you get there. Saw a beater e30 parked about 3 miles from the track. Not much original paint and a funky roof rack.

Went to the NE Drag Way couple months ago with my Black E36 M Sedan. Couple guys came to my window while I was going for another run and asked me about my setup, telling me they both had turbo 36s! Kinda late but was sweet to have people interested in my car which tends to blend in lol
Pic of My Cosmos M Sedan and my buds Dinan SC'd 97 M here the night at the track.

A friend spotted this today:
This coupe was spotted aprx. 7:45 this morning with MA plates on Xpressway North. Jumped onto the Mass Pike. Appears to be a non M with roadstars. Anyone familiar with this one? Don't believe they've crossed my radar before...
Spotted a black 8-series on Rt. 30 in Weston around 3:30pm on Sunday. Have seen a few other E31 in the Greater Boston Area. My second-most recent sighting was a Calypso Red 840i on Austin St in Charlestown. I believe there is a Laguna Green E31 that cruises Back Bay from time to time.
Brokatrot E32 in Hanover MA today, had ellipsoids. Nice color.
I own mostly junk. Except the Porsche, that's kind of cool.
All the motorcycles are trash which you can read about at
