power door locks/windows/sunroof/interior lights, and trunk wont open unless i use the key. Meanwhile the radio works, headlights, hazard lights, etc. both bats are on bat tender overnight...bats are fully charge...is the gen module the problem? Please advise. I'm gonna send mine to EEdegreetodrive, as he is one of a few members that offer this service. I don't know anyone local that does it professionally, though many have successfully repaired it themself. If you just search "general module" on this forum, there are tonnnns of threads about them, and how to replace the capacitors cheaply. Independent shops aren't going to bother with this job, and a dealership is only going to be able to replace the entire thing (if they can even get one.)

They are a bit of a challenge to remove. removeing the knee bolster makes it much easier, I learned the hard way. The other thing that doesn't work is wipers.

If you need any tipa accessing it, let me know. As Bluesman (Steve) said, removing the knee bolster is pretty much required. There are some hidden bolts.

Thanks guys for the referrals, I'm proud to be the forum's GM repair celebrity!
(That youtube video is great, huh? I can't believe it has had over 1000 hits! One of these days I'm going to re-record it with a better camera)

No problem! Happy it worked out. (While the GM is certainly responsible for ~3-5 gremlins, I always worry that folks have more gremlins that the GM doesn't cover)
