Thread: My E36 M3 vs E46 M3

    '99 Cosmos E36 M3/2, '04 Individual E46 M3

    My E36 M3 vs E46 M3

    I don't do this often but saturday night a guy in a white E46 M3 (with gf in
    the car) wanted to play, so I did... I was heading north on PCH in the
    Newport Area (Crystal Cove).

    I'm not going to write a short story on this, and I did not totally destroyed
    the guy, but I did beat him by about 1/2 car length. I think I just got a
    better launch than he did, I did get about two car length on him on first,
    but as we kept going he started gaining on me but never really got in front
    of me.

    The guy was pretty cool though, came to the next stop light, rolled down
    his window and gave me props...

    I liked the story carlos....... Yea the e46 m3s are fast.. I dont think I would go up and race one... im a girl like that.

    Yes, I am not familiar with your car either so please enlighten us as to your mods. I know a stock E36 can't beat the E46 that's for sure.

    Carlos's car is a beautiful e36 M3 modded, he has done Dinan suspension, Dinan TB and HFM, Dinan SW stage IV (if I'm not wrong), cat back and a few more things. Is a really nice M3.
    I'm happy that I'm not the only one beating a brand new M3.

    The only time I raced an e46 was top end from the top of 3rd to the beginning of 5th. I started to pull on him a little, but most of the time we were dead even. I'd like to see how the results would be from a stop
