So what exactly is a heat vent on my xboxone?

IM trying to set up (more permanently) my game systems. I was going to put my PS4 on top of it... It looks like the vent is on the side... But what is the grate on the top for?

Thanks. I know that's MS support website, but it pretty much says ' don't block vents' lol... We know that... Now where are they? Lol

Just don't put anything on top of it. Should have open ventilation on every side.
