Deer are becoming more and more of a problem in urban settings. IN NY, Staten Island has a deer problem, and on Long Island, it's been out of hand for years, with a real pop up in population in the last 2. I'm seeing dead deer in 8 lane highways, in densely populated suburban areas 10-12 miles from the NYC border. Folk in the country expect deer occasionally. When they start popping up in suburban and even urban areas NO ONE is ready for that. I say bear traps on the front lawns during mating season! Might even thin down the feral cat problem too.
Suck, bang, blow - that's what it's all about.

I found a salvaged rad support. Later I learned that a new one was not that much more.
My hood I got from the dealership at just about cost. I told them my sob story that I was paying out of pocket. They stepped up and helped me out.
Why are you buying used parts? Shouldn't insurance cover new OEM replacement?
Or did they cut a check and you're sourcing cheaper solutions?

I think someone is selling a rad support in the classified section in one of the garage sale threads

I'm sure that deer hates you too... But seriously that sucks
Glad everyone was ok. It seems like with a bit of work your shoe will be saved, looking better than ever.
I may have a lead on a door. I imagine you aren't too particular on the LSB color seeing as how the car will more than likely be resprayed? Sending you a PM shortly.
Hi there... Sorry to see the damage to your peach of a Z3. Nice colour!
At least all the damage is to bolt on parts, rather than rear fenders or the roof.
I too have hit a deer, which sprang from a hollow to the side of the road. Just saw it in the air before it hit the car. There was no time to react. This would have been twenty years ago. For many years I'd have venison for my birthday. It tastes great and helped me forgive the cute little blighters!
Fix the car... Be thankful all that's wrong is a little bent metal and that you were not the deer!
There is often a lesson to be learnt from an accident, but this is one of those "live and don't learn" situations.
Make sure the insurance company knows you want the car.
Onwards and upwards from here, all the best!
Jeremy, any updates???

How much are you talking about repainting, doing the whole car? I don't know how much this will all wind up costing you (out of pocket) but you will probably be very happy when you get the final outcome, then you forget about the cash, time lost and inconvenience (the pain and suffering quotient).
I was!
