Has anyone seen these? Are they common? Where can you get them?
T.I.A. for your replies.
I have seen them on ebay form time to time. Personally not my taste as I think they take away from the graceful lines of the car.
Life is Amazingly short. Everything you do should put a smile on your face and those around you.
I personally prefer this mod, as it costs a lot less and is less gaudy IMHO. Simple chrome strips from Advance Auto.
Thanks MPK; found them here. I think I like them. Of course now I have to buy my Z3 :-)
↑ Nice easy mod with those fender strips [and its easily reversible]...
I am not a fan of the all chrome side vents..looks cheap and ghetto. The Z deserves better.

Some recently in the au ebay started at $80 and ended around $240. Seen a couple of sets in the last year. If found cheap I'd buy them but not to my liking they seem to cheapen the look even if they are oem. Not seen them in real life though!

Not a fan at all. Too Ricey!!!!
I don't think they improve the look, why do something just to do it, not something I would do.
If one wanted some chrome prefer the M vents.
Purchased new May 2002. Steel Grey. Custom Tubi exhaust, custom roll bar with carbon fiber panels to cover center section, cutouts in seats for 5 pt harness, koni adj shocks/struts, HR front sway bar, adj links, bronze bushings in brake calipers, TC Kline camber plates, S54 bearing upgrade, misc urethane bushings, various compound brake pads for track, extra wheels for R compound rubber , Alfa Clocks and a trunk monkey. Rally On!
But isn't that like putting ss emblems on a 4 door chevelle
Bob welcome to the forums. If there's one thing I've learned here it's that everyone has an opinion and it might not be what you want to hear. With that being said, do what YOU like to your car if it makes you happy. That's the beauty of "customization". With that being said let me know if I or any of the Big Apple ZSCCA branch can help in your car search.

As an f.y.i., I obtained the photo here. For sale locally (and no, not mine).
I took the M vents off my M, and replaced them with the Z3 gills....................I personally like them a lot better.

Another option for chrome on your fender vents. These are the oem aero vents.
Yep, generic strips ($15 for a package of 10 ft. length). Cut with scissors to the desired length. They have 3M tape on the back for adhesive. They need to be replaced every few years because the 'chrome' surface eventually peels away. A 10 minute job.

Indeed.
You must not know much about the history of where your Z came from do you?
