Not sure whether this has been posted here before, but I just found an ad for an E21 tow truck. Check it out:

yep, it's down in Hampton Roads. I saw it a year or two ago. IIRC it's built on a Nissan Hardbody pickup chassis, or something like that.

if it makes you feel better, the story I heard is that the e21 was totaled in a rear-end collision, so they basically dropped the front end of the shell onto the pickup truck chassis and saved it from the crusher

Update: This relatively famous car/truck/vehicle has recently been spotted cruising the streets of.... wait for it... Libya. I guess someone had to have it bad enough to ship it over there. Photos from Jeroen's E21 facebook page.

Probably. I got a trailer hitch for my car and it pulls my trailer fine, albeit slowly. Stopping and turning at speed are where there are problems. The trailer when loaded will push the back end of my car out if its wet and I am not careful while turning.

I've never seen evidence of which parent car's engine it retains, but either way the answer is very slowly, and probably not safe on hills.
