    hello Ian, and welcome.

as a fellow Z3 owner and one of the Z3-forum moderators, I am very happy to see you here to bring some life to the board. however, I am also sadened to tell you that I am not the right person fo those questions.

you should try dropping a thread in the "General Discussion Forum" and/or the E36 forum. jsp98M3 and "Stylin" are the people I'd look to first, and these are pretty common mods, so you will get some answers.

thanks for posting and please stick around!

and you gotta give us more details about the car man!

I'm not too sure about the bulbs, the general discussion board would be good for those. About short shifters, there are several companies including UUC Motorwerks, Rogue Engineering, Active Autowerke. Seems most people have had good experiences with all of them, just personal preference. If I were to purchase one, I would probably go with Rogue Engineering since Ben (the founder/owner) developed the first widely accepted SS kit for the E36 and used to be part owner of UUC. Once again, though, it's all a matter of preference.
