First Class Fitment 2013 - E30 M3 gets Best of Show award

my first time going to this show and I have to say that I was impressed - great location, nicely organized and awesome mix of cars, great DJ, good food and excellent vibe
Congrats To Rick for taking best of show with his beautiful extra wide body e30 m3 built by Diego AMS Autowerks, out of soooo many amazing cars this is an achievement!
all pics untouched and taken with galaxy s4 cell phone

we met in the morning with the AMS crew and rode thru NJ to Princeton airport

oil light came on so the car was trailered on to the show

The car scene these days. I will never understand that sudden and widespread obsession on setting coilovers extra low. Not to mention the odd wheel fitments. To anyone even remotely educated on vehicle dynamics and suspension it just looks retarded. Many nice handling cars pretty much ruined. It should be illegal to stance an E30 M3. Goes against everything it stands for and was built for.

+1. Why buy a car that is ment for speed and the twisties, and put wheels on and a drop that says, "I can't go fast."

Keep the "omg ruined car is too low too stanced" comments to yourselves. Nobody cares.

Great looking cars, pissed that I couldn't make it this year.

Nah this is a public forum, we'll post our opinions if we want to, as long as everyone keeps it civil I don't see why there should be a problem.

+1, should be illegal to "stance" e30 m3's. I say "stance" in quotes because the word has been hijacked. What a shame, those widened quarters could fit some fat tires too.

As much as I hate to admit it, it does look well done though, and I can appreciate the work that went into it. The interior is worthy

Quite a few nice cars in the mix.

some people build their cars for race tracks 'cause they do track days, some people build their cars for shows 'cause they like to cruise and attend the gatherings, we are all different but we all like nice BMWs

In a way, having a stanced car prevents me from driving and racing around like a idiot and potentially getting tickets or hurt someone.

And I like a clean car, show me a dd "track car" that is in very clean condition.

I know there's a couple, but for the most part...no.

It's not always the case, and to be fair most "performance" or race cars are slammed to the ground. I would put my stanced E34 up against your M3 on the track any day. Before you come back at me, the car has already been proven at the track just the way it sits. I don't have one single rub mark on the outside of any of my tires. It all depends on the way that you set it up. I can't argue the aesthetics of it because that's all just personal preference.
