I was referred this product by a detailer's website when looking for canvas convertible top cleaners. After researching it, I made the purchase. It is called Amazing Roll-off and it is originally designed to clean stains in sailboat sails and fiberglass. It does not have acids or alkalynes in it. So it does not strip wax. It is biodegradable and all that good stuff and it leaves a wax finish behind.
Too good to be true? Well, I tried it today and it works great! Wet the wheels and spray some on. It not only cleans the wheels but makes the water "roll off" so they dry fast with a coat of wax left behind.
The best part is the price! $8.99 for a 32oz spray bottle and $19.99 a gallon! Much cheaper than P21s, which is what it is compared too. I will be buying the gallon when the quart runs out.
Just thought I'd share.
Amazing Roll-Off
I gotta put my vote on Mequir's HOT WHEELS, works better then the original Quick Silver and it doesn't discolor my gear.
Hey man, I'm a professional!
I used to use wheel cleaner until I ran out one day and decided to try a wet soapy wash rag. To my surprise, the dust rinsed right off, as if I had used a cleaner. (On my M3 w/ factory pads and ltw forged m-contour rims)
However, on my Volvo 850 T, the dust seems stuck on, and a cleaner is required to dissolve the dust.

But I got tired of a separate bucket , mitt, ect... Spraying the cleaner on and using a soft brush works just as well and is less fuss.
I agree Ron. Its the only wheel cleaner I used that really worked in dissolving the break dust.Originally posted by themadhatter

I've also used Simple Green (the regular kind) and it worked great too.
Hey man, I'm a professional!
It works great, won't hurt the finish and it's cheap and easy to get in bulk. Switching to aftermarket pads also makes a big difference
I Agree... Meguiars Hot Wheels.... and I think they have another Wheel Cleaner too, however, this is my cleaner of choice for the rims on my dad's car...
