Still available? Will these work on a 325is?
Yes, they are still availible.
They would be perfect for an e36 325is.
Approximately how many miles are on them?
Honestly I am not sure. I originally got them used on ebay and the mileage wasn't listed.
But all of the joints articulate freely and all the boots/tone rings are in great shape. I'm sure they have plenty of life left in them.
Bump, still available
I may be wrong but those appear to be m3 axles I'd check them out thoroughly before selling
I'm positive then are non-m, since the bolt circle was too small when I tried to install them on my m3 diff - hence why they are for sale
ttt
Interested. Are they from non m car with manual trans? Think there different based on trans. I am looking for set (set I purchased last year off forum already bad. Cv tight and no grease leaking?

I am still not sure if they will work on my car. You said "the bolt circle" did not fit on your M3 diff. I have a M3 3.23 LSD on my 1997 328ic and had no issues with a direct bolt on... My understanding was the spines that attach to the wheel hub area are different size. I just want to be sure these are going to be a direct oem replacement on my car.

Appears from this post that the auto and manual trans E36's do have different size (diameter) axles.
I went out to the garage and measured these.
On the diff side:
the 6 bolts are 10mm diameter on a 85mm bolt circle
the main OD is 102mm
the centering pilot diameter is 66mm
on the wheel side:
the splines are 29mm OD
the threads for the big axle nut are 23mm OD
the overall length from the bearing shoulder to the diff flange was 22" but keep in mind they can extend/retract

Axles are the same from auto to manual. Only difference is M3 vs 325/328 axles.
This would be the same as saying the diff in an automatic car won't fit a manual subframe.

I completely understand where you are coming from. Although, I do not understand why the diameter is different and the prices are different between the auto and manual trans half axles. If you go to a Bmw parts website (pelican...) and there is about a 70-100$ difference between the auto and manual trans half axles.
