Although not clear since they were so secretive, VANOS seemed to be the wall with NexGen's attempt at a twin screw.

I'd be happy with the Jag setup (price/availability/gains), but I'm not exactly rolling in enough cash to do my own R@D, and not a lot of reliable info out there on it.

There seems to be this fantasy that twin screw blowers are magic marvels capable of turbo-like power increases. They are not. Getting 100hp w no meth or charge cooling is pretty repectable.

That's My old car that I thought was a race car and accidentally broadsided a palm tree with. :-(. Now I have a 98 black on black automatic with the motor from the wrecked car. I am very pleased with the automatic so far.

I don't know *** is wrong with these forums, but I NEVER seem to get notifications of replies to these SC threads...naturally the ones I wanna see the most. The only way to get an admins attention around here is to **** swear...fix this, please!!

No real updates other than I borrowed my buddies truck (I was going bigger crank pulley, fuel rails, FPR and colder plugs on my own truck) and borrowed another buddies M60 to start mocking the SC. Now it's just chilling in the garage waiting for me to give it attention.

    1. The engine management. It seems that the setup will disable ews. Also the MAF is disabled using Alpha-N. Im just a bit nervous about a generic map. Maybe this is the way all SC kits work?

    2. Fuel injectors. The fuel demand of the setup is achieved by increasing line pressure. I feel this is a low-tech way of getting more fuel. Surely bigger injectors is the real solution.
    1. Yes. That is a truly crappy solution. ESS does not go anywhere near that solution. Alpha N makes you engine idle like crap and you cannot get the same quality as a good tune. Closed loop might be ok, but open could surge your engine if something is slightly off.

    2. Yes, you are running out of spec on a lot of components.

Everything else look quite nice, just get a tune and injectors. I wonder how they solve the CCV in this kit tho..

James take your posts and copy paste them into a new thread in the appropriate area. They are right it is cluttering up the for sale section. then pm a mod to lock the thread

Then PM me the link to the new thread. I'm enjoying your posts and want to see this project as it progresses.

Hey, thanks for posting all your trials ad tribulations, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I've had this kit on my wishlist for ages, found this thread by accident. So glad I read all this, was about to buy one, and to strya!
Has this thread died, or did you find a solution? If you could manufacture a quality kit, I'd be in...

    I second that!

I was about to pull the trigger, from his website. But, decided to do some research and happened upon all of these threads from M5JAMES... I have been reading half the night... Crazy...

It looks like Toolman has a working adaptor kit for the Eaton M112, you have to source your own Jag parts. Don't think he has been on this forum for a while, but the conversation is pretty fresh (few months old) on bimmerboost.com

Mind you that was in my old car.

The idea of a blower on my 740 has been going through my head, good info (on what not to get) in this thread. Also roots style blowers are just addictive to drive, the instant torque!! ... and also the ability to be cruising at say 80kph, foot to the floor and instant smoke billowing from the guards!

Try registering and posting the German instructions (if you can get them) on this German site:
    https://www.7-forum.com/forum/

I needed some original BMW retrofit instructions and asked there as a last resort, and the guys came up trumps. Don't bother with trying to post in Google translate German, the guys have good English and were very helpful

I’m sitting on one of these “stage 6”kits myself...bought around same time as James. His experience mirrors mine with the German unfortunately. Been wondering what to do with this damn thing.
