I have the DDM raptor 55w and the LBF keeps coming up EVEN with the BOW3. So, I'm going to try this but I need pictures. Anybody have the pics? Thanks.

The only picture you need is the one on page 10. Did the fix a week or two ago and it's super easy.

Oh and to answer my own question above, the set of wires to connect are NOT the ones that are still attached to the CCM after cutting.

There's a way to go into the OBC and tell it not check for an LBF. So without cutting wires you can make the LBF error never come up (of course this includes even if there is an LBF) but it's a good way to fix it. Of course I don't know the intricacies but I think you need to mess with the OBC and/or know german as it reverts to german text. I could be totally wrong but I thought Braymond did this a while ago. And there should be more info in the lighting section or on M3F.

I did it! It was a bitch accessing the CCM since my wiring was in the way. I couldnt take the CCM out so I had to follow the wiring to a more accessible area.

Thanks for the tip on which wires to connect.

I believe the OBC trick is disabling ALL check control. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've had HIDs for 2 years now, and the LBF JUST came on . My wiring looked fine, but this mod worked perfect.

OK i dont know if this will work for you guys but I have DDMs hids in my headlights with no LBF harnesses or any of that crap. If i turn on my headlights with the car off but ignition on the LBF comes on the OBC; however if you turn the car on and wait like 3 seconds then turn on your headlights there is no OBC warning. I know many of us switch our headlights on before turning over the motor or as the car is turning on, but hey give it a try. It works for me somehow.

No need to mess with the wires. Just mod the inside of the control module instead, much cleaner.

Thank you so much mmaigret! I didn't have the lbf initially, but had to run my HID's to another ground as they were killing my ccfl Angels when I powered them on. That in turn triggered the LBF, but your fix has taken care of that! This forum is invaluable!

    HELP NEEDED!

Thought I connected it all right, but when I turn on just the parking lights, my drivers side highlight fires up, and when I turn it all the way they both fire up. Suggestions?

This fix didn't work for me. However, my problem might be different than most. When I turn my lights on, they do actually turn on, but only for a split second. Then, they turn off and I get the LBF on my OBC. After turning them on and off a few times, I can get them to finally work, but it's annoying. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm actually in the same boat - thinking the 55w kits are not getting enough juice. Note that DDM tuning sells an additional wiring kit harness? Starting to think this is required. I spoke with Dean from DDM today and he recommended I do the CCM fix first and order the harness if that doesn't solve my issue.

Update: Resolution was to swap the twin 7.5 amp fuses for 10a fuses. Also did the CCM fix to remove the LBF error code.
