    ^ You can swap the sensors on a TU, and that's what I would recommend first. It takes less than 10 minutes to do.

    I think SigTwenty is right. Same codes on my E39 This is a bigger issue. Most likely chain guides. Mechanic quoting me $3500. . Replaced coils and OSV. Still smokes on startup and rough idle. Not putting any more money into it. Donating the car. Picked up an E39 instead. They seem to have less issues.
