    Offset is in the equation too but I'm sure it will look stupid either way without spacers.
    Thanks Buster.

    Cancer = Rust.

    It's not a pristine car so I don't mind cutting it to put the flares on. Spacers are an option unless I'd need something crazy to make it look "ok". I do autox and HPDE it so nothing too crazy as far as spacers.

    Use willtheyfit.com and find the specs someone with flares are running and you can compare to see how much spacer you'll need.

    Anyone running 285+ tires on 17's with V2? Debating if I want to get these or go with felony form. I'd like to run a 285 or larger rear tire, if possible, on a 17" rim. Just wondering people's experience so I can figure out what offset and rim width I should go with

    I have V1 rear flares. 275 on a 17x9,5 +35 fit with minimal issues, especially with -2.5 camber. I have 10mm spacer back there now and still clear perfectly fine with the 275. A 285 on a 10" rim should fit fine IMO especially on the wider V2 flares.

    What 285 tire are you looking at in 17"? I know 285/30-18 is a viable size, but anything more than a 285/35-17 would be quite big in overall diameter and a difficult fitment. I have 275/35-17 Hoosier A6s (kind of wide for the size) on et31 10.5" wide rims and with no spacer and it BARELY clears the V1 flares which have had all the inner edge of the flare lip removed, as well as some massaging of the inner sheet metal around the strut.

    Finally got to cutting the front fenders and riveting on the front flares. I had trimmed the front portion (for a cleaner look) so that it does not go over the nose panel edge.

    Looks great, I was never a fan of the original front flare design.

    I haven't upgraded to wider tires/spacers yet, so what you're looking at are V1 flares with 17x9.5 Apex wheels with 245/40 Hankook RS3s.

    Bit of an upgrade on my car. Still V1 flares, but the fronts have 1/4" spacer between the flare and the fender. The rear is more like 3/8" now. Wheels/tires are 285/30-18s with 18x10.5 29mm offset. No spacers in the back, 20mm in the front. I'll be changing the camber setup in the front soon which should allow me to come down to 15mm spacers. Still just a hair of rubbing on the front of the left rear flare. It might need a bit of trimming or maybe I need another 1/8" of spacer in the back.

    I have a question about installing the rears and have attached a picture. Obviously, you cut out the section in the red box and the rear bumper can be pulled-out/shimmed to make room for wider tires/wheels. However, what about the part in the green box? To me, it seems like the wheel/tire would hit it if you DON'T cut that part out but it seems like a lot of people don't cut that area? Does the nature of the suspension travel more or less allow the area to not come into contact with the wheels?
