Essentially yes.
The fronts you cut and rivet on. Seal the metal where necessary for rust preventative purposes.
The rear you *can* just cut and rivet but the quarter panel will be weak. What most do is cut, then tac weld the inner sheet metal to the outer sheet metal for strength. Then seal it all up.
I had my old fenders baseball batt rolled to the point where they were perfectly flat and stuck out 45 degrees from the body. These flares stick out a bit further than that on the edges and allow more room for tire inside of the flare.
The only fitment issue I have is the left and right edges of the wheel wells. This is only an issue for going flush, not performance. My 265/35/18s (on a 18/9.5 et36) required me to do quite a bit of dental work to the edges of the rear bumper where it meets the flare. My fronts took a bit of dental work to the ends of the nose panel and the flare where it meets the nose panel.
You'll notice most people with these flares have the car at a reasonable performance ride height or they will be pretty low with the wheels tucked in. If there was some sort of bumper attachment similar to the Rocket Bunny flares, I think it'd be a piece of cake fitting a fat 18" tire in there.
Notice if the wheel is spaced out to be flush for aesthetic purposes, it would interfere with the bumper.
Anybody have a good pictorial DIY for this? Think we know what all is involved but a picture of two from an existing install would help greatly.
Would love to see sedan ones. I'm itching to pull the trigger on these!

I want to run 285/30s on 18x10 et 25 apex arc8's on all 4 corners. Anybody have any experience with how well that wheel setup would fit with these flares on a coupe?
You'll have to keep the car high up and have some super negative camber to pull that off.
I'm pretty low right now and have absolutely no more room for meat at -2.7 deg camber. Here is how that will compare to where I'm at. Also, I have a 10mm spacer up front, no spacer in the rear.

^^ you're probably a good bit lower than I'm going to be, but even at the raised height that seems like it'd still be pretty aggressive. maybe a 275/35 on a 9.5 would be a better fit.
Clean install, btw.
^^ Wheel specs?
Thanks to Adam, I had the first set of Ti flares installed on my project a few months back by Kings Auto Body Shop. They fit great and gave me the room I needed after I removed the entire inner lip of the flare (it's at least 3-4mm thick, which leaves a lot less room for full use of the added space).
Here are some teasers, I have a full build thread I will be posting for the car once I'm done with the car showing the stages of the flares.
Car is FAR from done! Front will be coming down at least an inch with shorter springs and I'll space the front wheels out at least 10mm.
Fitment notes - I'm running a full Z3 M-Coupe suspension, which sits the wheels at least 4mm further out on each side vs. a stock Ti rear. I'm going to test fit a friend's wheel set-up from his Ti to see how much a difference it actually is.
Wheel and tire specs:
AC Schnitzer Type 2: 17x8.5 et 15 front with 235/40/17 Nexen N8000; 17x9.5 et 21.5 rear with 245/40/17 Falken FK453
