I am already diverting towards gtx2863R with tial turbine housing w. V band flanges... thinking about how to route from the oem headers. Possibly it will fit beneath the RMS chargecooler. It is primarily for the low down punch that will be missing, a.s.a.p. but without restricting flow in the higher rpm range, where the engine will behave like a larger engine because of the vortech. This way I will not need to overspin the Vortech, and temperature rise will be very mild. More area under the line. I could sell the catalysed x pipe to help funding...it just means i will have to make a longer exhaust, not just the end piece/muffler/valve thing.
Thing is, with the cheaper options, I wont get what I want... and twin K04's are too bulky. No space. I will retain the OEM headers, so the way The Hulk has them is not an option.
I can then also mimmic the distance towards the X-merge with the reroute towards the right of the engine, and then enter the turbo with one large round pipe, which is ideal for flow; the tial flange has an ID of 54mm which is just marginally smaller than the diameter of the X halfways.
MAF will be between the turbo and vortech as it will not be capable to measure the unpressurised flow (it will allready be operating near the edge of its limits because of the Vortech, unpressurised air from the turbo will be too much).
I can then also blow off turbo pressure to atmosphere, which will aid in lowering inlet temperatures. It also helps with transisions in diameter, they will be on better places, and cooler when entering the vortech. I could spray in front of the compressor wheel of the turbo, and directly after the outlet to aid. No need for bulky intercooler then.
I need different injectors though, the ones in the RMS kit are too small. They are 444 cc/min items, even with standard M3 evo fuel pressure (5bar) and at critical duty cycles they won't supply enough (573.20cc/min). Think I'll need around 715cc/min with 85% duty cycle. Oh and a nice and large external wastegate. Any butget cuts that can be made there?? I have literally no idea how wastegate diameters are calculated....

I think your over thinking it.
Run something small like that turbo but even a little bigger. run a huge wastegate, biggest you can find. I would.run a small aa ic upfront as to not overload your rms. Jump to 60# and youll be set i think... Run a dual exh make one for the turbo and one for the wastegate because why not?

I love your attention to detail! It's compulsive and respectable. I do question why you don't go full Turbo? Why keep the Vortech?

just fyi...
We just had a friends 3.2l E36 M3 with the RMS kit on the dyno (we've done the wiring harness for the car and some other stuff)... made 610hp, 650NM (at the crank) @ 0.9bar

If it was my personal car, I would share all exact details here.
As it's a car owned by another person for competitive use, I will not share all the specs to the public without asking him if he is cool with it, I hope you understand
But I will ask him if it's alright and then will let you know all the mods and post the dyno graphs

Been doing quite some things that aren't directly beneficial for the build, and other things that are.
For one; I cleaned and delivered the key of the way overpriced garage I rented (€250/month)
Made some CF cloth pictures for a website background
Admired my 955's brakes some more when I wasn't motivated...
And met a certain Vollosso who was very in to cum covered fries, and did some BBQ-ing with him and friends on the few days there was a bit of sunshine.
Some more organising in the smallish garage, putting obsolete tools to good use:
Also started building my compressor 'kart' from the useless toolkart that i took the top off to function as a wall mounted closet.
And, because the car is heavy (or I am a wuss) and it has to go up a 4 cm step which is impossible to do by myself (and steer it), I installed an electric winch. It is usually used for vertical lifting but well, it was cheap and new and it works. Fortunately it doesn't pull the crappy garage down! It will also be functional to pull the car on the ramps, as that is a horrible job, even with the engine running...
Well then there was the pulley that I didn't like on front of the engine, so I had some fun in solidworks...
Destroyed the old bearing center, lathed it down a bit, cut a groove and presto:
This is still being made by a good collegue, aluminium that will be anodised for hardness.
Front of the car looks mean without grille and lights!!
And, after much thinking, I finally decided on how my water injection will be done. Ordered the latest Aquamist controller, flow sensor for fail safe use, PWM solenoid and put it on the table, just for you, with the OEM 6 liter tank that will be placed where the hydraulic unit of the SMG is now (that I'm moving to the spare wheel well), the OpenOBC (fully programmable 16 button OBC) which will read the fail safe output and open a recirc valve on the intake side, two Aquamist race pumps, an accumulator and a KTM enduro bike external oil filter housing that I might use with a stainless steel mesh 35 micron filter. But I haven't decided on that yet.
Then there is this aquamist gauge, which is used for failsafe and flow monitoring. I really think it is a nice piece of engineering and it looks decent, but I am REALLY not placing that in the interior lol.
So I opened it up for 'evaluation'
Guess what's getting cut up?

Being a wizzard and all can sometimes be somewhat time consuming. Y'know, doing wizzardry all day, swinging my stick around.
But here's something to see again;
Spending quite some time on figuring out this bish with a steadily growing group of enthousiasts at http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=473890
Slowly working on helping out a tuner with his adjustable 4wd self built dyno, some modifications needed;
In an attempt to organise my living room a bit, regain some motivation and to see if some things would fit (coolant pressure sensor and ceramic S50b30 ITB insulators for instance) I did a loose assembly of the block:
There is a ridge as the 3.0 has a slightly tighter inlet tract. Great so I need to find out how to remove material from a rock hard ceramic :P I guess a diamond burr without cutting edges.
And here we have the cute little head-lift-detector. Might want to insulate that thing a bit :P
VAC/ATI harmonic vibration eliminator (hopefully....) with undersized crank pulley from RMS. Was nicely damaged new in box. And the total assembly needed lathing off about 4 mm. Done that.
All EGT thermocouples fit nicely. Looking pro and all.
Had a good laugh when I came home late that night; parked the thing on the most convenient place which was coincidently in front of the window. Forgot to close the blinds and there is a red-ish lamp in the corner. Engine porn in the red light district of daandaman.
Remember the compressor kart I was building to declutter my garage; well it's finished now:
(to get the condensed water out)
And thadaaa!
Going trough a lot of hassle to get my Tein SS-P kit, but I already have the EDFC Pro!
And organised my workbench and garage wall; installed a lot of magnetic strips
So I guess I did something stupid again.
Which crank pulley were you running before?
