hey guys,
never made an official intro post (joined years ago and never got around to browsing site). my name is Jovan, and I'm a heavy duty diesel/diesel mechanic.
my mom bought a 2.5 Z about 9 years ago, ended up trading it for an Evo. she always loved a converitble roadster, back then it was all about alfa. long story short, she loved her Z, so ended up buying a 3.0 roady and then a 3.0 coupe. she ended up getting sick and ultimately disabled (she can still drive) so cars werent driven for 3-4 years, marinating in garage.
i ALWAYS had a you know what for the coupe, so I had to have it. i officially purchased it from her in June and started to get her back in order. Registered last Friday and i cant stop the desire to keep driving. Anyways, pardon the lengthy post, but you guys have created a great resource which i've absolutely utilized. thanks much guys!

Awesome, awesome exterior color, and an nice subtle interior . The '02 catalogue featured a coupe in this color and a topaz blue roadster.
Awesome & clean coupe.
oh wow, do you have access to the catalog? i'd love to see it! im really fond of the simplistic interior, however that "matte chrome" is a pain to clean. its kinda splotchy right now even though i wiped it down. i just ordered the zhp knob which should match nicely. also, i installed a kenwood head unit and it allows you to customize color, perfect match with stock gauges & switches.

Holy pistachio! This is the first time I've seen it on a coupe. Beautiful!
Looks to be a sunroof delete, correct?

really? i havent seen many pistachios, even when google searching just 1 or 2. i never knew what sunroof delete meant, i assumed people went as far as sealing it up lol. but yes, it does not have a sunroof, thankfully from what i hear

Pistachio is the 2nd-rarest standard color.

its definitely unique. im not typically one for wild colors, however i think it really accentuates the curves of this car tremendously. unfortunately there are some minor imperfections in paint, a tiny scratch here and there, and some corrosion under paint on left rear fender, and the front lip was curbed, but i think its definitely worth it to have a shop recifty all that. im humbled by everyones praise on the car though, i really wasnt sure how people felt about such a radical color.

Wow. Love the Pistachio. Can't remember seeing it on a coupe before.
that is AMAZING! i have never ever seen that before, thank you so much. that would be a neat thing to have in a collection. now you have me scouring eBay for another copy that would have been even more awesome if that could have possibly been mine or apparently the only other one, but it has a sunroof :'(

mum1.JPGI remember that, it was just as we rolled into Big Sur. It was going in the wrong direction! I've always loved Pistachio on the Coupes, it really shows off the lines really well. Sorry to hear your mum can no longer drive, my mother currently drives her 2000 2.8 Topaz Blue non-sunroof coupe still, but its an auto. It does have the dark aluminum trim which is nice and quite frankly the car which got me into coupes all those years ago. She has about 50k miles on it.
It still drives like an almost new car!
That car is too beautiful to keep hidden away in the garage. Good for you for resurrecting it. Enjoy!

You lucky B------. Great car!
Lucky indeed!!! That is such a beautiful color on the coupe...SOOO much potential for greatness there...
Looks great!!
ah, so i have new exhaust but im waiting on my backordered shifter parts to install so i dont have to do exhaust job over again. ive been tossing around the idea of forced induction, but i gotta be honest, it drives real nice as it is. i mean, i know its not an M, and who doesnt like the thought of having more hp? im on the fence... whatchu guys think?
and by the way im gunna try to take much better pics this week with my nikon, especially since the color seems to be a hit, so stayed tuned
