    Hey,

I'm looking to do a turbo build on an 97 328i. I am an engineering student and while I can't afford to do the project now I would like to do my HW on it first. Can you give me technical information on how you built yours? Also the mapping of the turbo?

    Thanks so much.

Wow what a cool car. And OP I like the others on here hate when people comment on price, but since you asked, I'd say 24k is high. I'd push for more around the 19-21k range. That's just my .02 so take it as you will!

Tuned on E85 or MS109, I would wager that this car will run with your 996.

Possibly ,but the 996 is getting the e85 treatment and built motor .. So should be around 900-1000 .. Then the gearbox will probably blow up..

i hope you don't have this car in a few weeks.

I owned a 2002 996 GT2 with an Imagine Auto built motor making 637RWHP, the gear boxes in these cars are strong as long as you don't launch it too hard with sticky tires!

    Thanks for the props,

Way overpriced? Based on what? Is there an infinite supply of Turbo E36 M3's with $20,000 engines making 606RWHP on pump gas that I am unaware of?

If you come down in price keep me in mind, I have cash but not 20k. The more I look at the car, I see what high quality work was done and how the car was treated. Nice car.

I knew I recognized this car now, because I was talking to a guy 3 years ago and he said he would sell it for 12k (PM to prove it). You bought this already built car from Hukalaki......regardless of changing the block.......

    Heres the for sale thread.

    So...your point is?

The car has gone through several major improvements and upgrades, it now has an OBD2 engine that is completely fresh and O-ringed along with a completely different and brand new turbo system, etc., etc., etc.

I wish you had been the lucky buyer of this car, then you could have put $20K++ into it to get it where it is today.

Did he let you know that it had a HG issue when he was selling it?
