If you check at understeer.com, they detail the fan delete steps very well. I bought their fan delete kit, but I've decided not to implement it because summer here run 110F and the traffic is horrendous (lotsa stop and go jams). Since you live in a cooler climate, the AC Aux fan should be plenty with the kit. I'm selling the kit, so let me know if you'd like to take it off my hands.

    Same here.

Jimmie Jazz, don't worry about the high temps, you'll be fine.

I did the 318i fan switch and the lower-temp thermo and have seen no problems yet. Granted, this was a month ago and it has yet to get hot yet.

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with a replacement electric fan, rather than delete it completely. Also, That Aux fan ain't cheap, and I don't really want to wear it out! I'm still working out what the wiring will be to install about an 18" fan with its own thermostat and fuse.

I'll let the kit go for 90 bucks, shipping included. I just got it and decided not to use it. It's complete and brand new, nothing in it has even touched a car. It's 90. at understeer.com (where I bought it) but you'd have to pay shipping there, additionally.

email me at sjw -aht- gte -doht- net if anyone wants it.

Question to the guys who did it: what does it feel like? Would you do it again?
