Giving this a gentle bump back in the right direction:

What would be best option with regards to the exhaust once the supercharger is fitted? I'm assuming that the standard system will likely be too restrictive?

I don't think he's really suspended. It would be in red if he was.

Well here's an update, but not the one you are looking for. I have had a medical issue I've been dealing with which hasn't allowed me to really get any work accomplished on the project. I have to have spinal surgery to remove discs in my neck. That however isn't the bad news.

Today thanks to the current Administrations budget cutbacks and failure to do their job, I was informed that after October 15th I will no longer have a job. I'm not looking for sympathy, but I can't continue to move forward with this project right now. Between losing my job and having surgery, I have to realign my financial plans.

The project isn't dead, but for the time being it is on hold indefinitely.

Best of luck to you. It will just give me some time to get my car in check, and ready to take boost.

good luck, I had a spinal fusion years ago, it sucks but you will be better off when it is finished. good luck with finding a new job when you are ready.

Basically you will only be limited by how brave you are in turning up the boost.

Nope, lots of epoxy for fixing that ugly floor from the prior tenant.

The house is a rental, so it'd be a waste to refinish the garage concrete. The supercharger within the box will make a nice addition to my X5 though.

I got the text and the pic as I was merging on the freeway...I damn near called in sick lol, but then my level head said that'd cost me a days pay as well as cut into my Bimmerfest vacation time. I'm going to examine everything tonight after work, then take it to my buddies who's going to help me install it and give it a second set of eyes since I don't have recent instructions since this is supposedly much different than the first design. My buddies recently done an M3 swap into a 318ti and now he's doing an M62 swap and ODBI conversion into his E34 540i, so I'm confident he'll be able to help me see things maybe I'd miss that could cause installation issues. Unfortunately I've still gotta order gaskets, wideband 02, Evans coolant and a few other bits and pieces, so it'll be another week or so of agony before I can even start the installation.

First box I received didn't include the SC, I was so excited. Instead it was the newly design plenum, Turbosmart fuel cut defenser and fuel pressure regulator, two air to water intercoolers (one sits inside the supercharger, the other behind the bumper) and associated hoses, intercooler pump and resevoir, gaskets between the heads and adapter plates, fuel rails and lines.

Today's box (once again after I'd left for work) should contain the supercharger, adapter plates, throttle body provisions (for both a non-VANOS and VANOS engine) and I'm not sure what else I might be missing. Once again it's going to be another long day

Photos are uploading to Photobucket as we speak, so I'll attach soon.
