    Winter car.
Headers, own pulleys, lightweight flywheel with -765 Sre and Manual.
Now starting building engine to e39 touring with M62b44 with pulleys.
Nice car, my favorite color. What'd you do to that engine?

There was some work to do outside, coils, paintwork, exhaust, wheels and cleaning.
Headers were allready there but engine was messy and didn´t work right.
Lower oilpan was sealed with sikaflex and some other things so i have to do other oilpump and adjust cams etc.
Many hours later it was way faster than E39 Manual M62b44Tu

Nice work. That's my next engine. M60 B44 with a couple turbos, after I finish the e24. Were the internals on the hybrid engines stock B44?

So I have had a couple miss-haps with my 7 lately. Brought it back into dd duties after I wrecked my jetta. Busted a rear thrust arm at speed and white knuckled it off the median and a truck coming to rest in a thin strip next to the median. Scary as hell.
All back together with an alignment and she is driving fine. Bonus from this is a comp claim for the damage as it was from a collision with a rut dug out of the pavement by trucks. Will have the rear bumper redone because the wheel knocked it about while I was trying to get the car back under control.

At the very least you could have a comp claim but additionally, you should have a claim against the city or state for the damage from the roadway and especially its so-called construction, or more importantly, lack thereof.

    Damn, never seen that happen!

I did lose a wheel on the passenger side front in the high speed lane doing 85 in a 74 nova. Lol, That was Hairy! I was surrounded by cars and have no clue how I managed to get between them and to the breakdown lane on a four lane highway running on the rotor.

Oh shit man that blows big time.

Let them total it and then buy it back and buy a donor car for the parts.

    But there is light!!!!
Found this in Baltimore. Gonna be getting it today I think. It drove nice when I took it out on Monday. Interior is excellent, no roof lining sagging.

So far so good. I've been driving around Baltimore with my two daughters, have to figure out how to get the glove box open and it has a couple little things to fix butt nothing like what I started with all those years ago before I swapped the wrong engine into my car! Driving this car with the stock suspension and wheels is very very comfortable. I have to say I'm reluctant to transfer the Bilstein sport shocks over. To start with I'll get this thing up and running and straight as an arrow and just enjoy it.

Front passenger door on the 2001 had a rusty lower sill, rear has a busted regulator and no blinds so door swapping from the m60 powered car.
Bilsteins, thrust arms, tie rods and 750iL brakes from the front going on Friday.
    Sad, but necessary.

Man those shots just look like a tombstone to me. I'm not sure how I got unsubbed from this thread but I should be back now. How's the Silver Lining treating you? Afa the bilsteins, I have always been weary of going to a harsher ride, and when I have to replace I will be trying to finds close to stock as possible. You did it to lower initially correct? I can't seem to remember.

Dude, why you took hinges off doors? Only thing what have to come off is pin-bolt , it is 10mm, one per hinge, and then no alignment needed.

Yikes! Sorry about the wreck... question about the original deep dish on the old car... what were they?
