Wow this thing is crazy! I can't wait to see this finished!
How could one possibly want to fade that body line out. It's the reason i own an e36.
Not out completely, just contoured with the bulge so it doesn't look wavy.
Might just be that one pic though, one side I don't even see the line at all on the 1/4, and the other the line looks wavy because of the angle lol
Which pics? The last 2 I posted?
Beyond stoked to get a set!
I need a set of these in my life
Probably. I mean it is flat black paint in the glaring sun. From certain angles the rear body line will look like it's bending upwards or downwards (first pic down, second pic upwards) if that's what you mean by it being wavy. Unfortunately though I can't change physics lol
Yeah that's what I'm talking about, didn't mean to make a big deal out of it just wondering lol.
i need these already! i wish i had an extra $1k lying around
cant wait to fit these
Jacques Cousteau could never get this low
Yeah, I'm going to rivet on some front fenders when I get home from work and post some pics. I have 3 sets I have to make for people who already paid so if anyone wants to get in line for a set contact me. I'm sure everyone is waiting for pics though!
Here's a front fender with black gel coat. Gel alligatored a little bit near the front because I was rushing but you get the idea. This is the finish directly out of the mold. A little bit of wetsanding and polishing and it would be a high gloss or hit it with 320 grit or similar to prep for primer.
Yeah that's rivet on. I'll rivet it on my car later and get pics. Didn't have time last night.
I'm not really sure on weight but I'll see if I can find out. Hopefully one of my roommates has a scale.. If people really really want light weight parts, I'm getting set up to make vaccuum infused carbon fiber parts with honey comb core which would probably only way a pound or two for a rivet on fender.
Looks awesome.
Wow love it! Can't wait till you start sending them out! Look foreward to the pictures along with just about 90% of the members on this forum haha. I guess it's pretty obvious when somethings done right in the E36 community keep up the good work!
Looks fresh! How is the molding situation handled? Does anyone know if the M/non-M have different sheetmetal since the molding are different width?
awesome
Can you maybe throw some paint on the original fender that isn't black so we can clearly see the fitment of the overfender?
Btw, totally changing up the e36 game
Everyone with an SLR kit is going to need these fronts!
