uh oh, what happened to that shadowline trim? Looks like it got FUBAR bend in it.
I replaced it with a brand new drip rail moldings. I bought two new ones last week before I started the wrap because the ones on my car were horrible. I didn't want to have a fresh wrap on my car and beat up old drip rail moldings. I also replaced the belt moldings under my quarter glass on each side.
Just went out and took this picture!

Those turned out really nice! The PO tried doing something similar on my car. I think he probably made them worse though, I'm happy I replaced them with brand new ones.
the trick is that the vinyl is very thin, you HAVE to sand down all the old material. You can actually peel it off with a razor like a banana and then sand whats left over.
How much would this be for an e30? Because my car needs a paint job lol and if this is cheaper then this might be the way to go.. let me know or pm me. Looks nice btw I sorta like the color.
I wasn't able to work on the car much this week with how busy I was at work. I made a lot of progress today though and I thought I would post some updated pictures.
Lovin' it.
If you're gonna start this up as a business let me know or send me a quote for a 95 Vert 318..
Would love to have this done.
I finished up the rear bumper this morning. I'm not happy with how it turned out so I'm going to order more vinyl and redo it. I might order extra and wrap it a few times just to perfect my technique.
where did you order the drip railings?
I went to BMW and had them price match the lowest price I could find online.
I got the front bumper mounted on the car this morning. I'm a lot happier with it than I am the rear bumper, I may end up rewrapping it just for practice though. I only have enough vinyl left for one side skirt so I ordered some more up plus extra to redo the rear bumper. The hood is new and I haven't had time to align it so it looks a little crooked in the pictures below. Hope you guys enjoy!
are you ordering directly from orafol? Im considering wrapping some parts of my car and have no idea where to buy vinyl

Amazing ... Great job!
Here's where I'm at as of this morning. For those of you wondering about the white wing mirrors, I'm going for a white and blue theme. I'm putting on a white LTW high rise wing from Abraham Motorsports this weekend and I will be getting white wheels soon too. I want this thing to stand out and be loud.
It turned out great!
Thanks for all the kind words guys! I didn't use adhesion promoter on anything, when I ordered more vinyl this week I got some promoter as well. I'm going to redo both bumpers and use it in the deep areas with a lot of concave. The bumpers are the hardest part so I don't mind redoing them, it's good practice.
Absolutely. Anytime there's an abrupt change in curvature you're going to want to use that stuff. We also prefer the single use swabs over the little can because the can will dry up faster than you can use it. Also, due to heat shrink, you want to wrap around the back edges of body panels, bumpers, etc. every change you get. Third, knifeless tape is priceless since you want to avoid trimming with an Exacto and cutting into customer paint unless you have absolutely no other choice:
Wish you the best of luck!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me, I appreciate it more than you know.
