Antbody have experience w/Trans. speed sensor?

So, I was on a road trip on Friday, when out of nowhere, my car started shifting hard. The RPM were about 1000 to high also(almost like it was stuck in 4th) No sooner that starts happening, the gear/exclamation shows up, along with the SES. The two have been on and off since then. The car is driveable as of right now. I checked the code yesterday... came back as p0717 (input speed sensor).

I am just wondering if anyone has had experience with this particular code. I'm hoping it is just this one sensor, and not the TCM, or anything more major/expensive.

I havent been under the car to look yet either, since I haven't recieved the part. The pic on reaoem, doesn't help much, if anybody can point me to a better one tha'd be great

I have a F01 2011 740Li. I am pulling the same code P0717. I cannot find any info anywhere on any of the BMW forums. Were you able to learn what caused the problem and how to fix it?
