Bmw z3 하드탑 잠금 장치 고장

Hi friends I'm someone who is build Z3 in South Korea I bought a hardtop not too long ago but the handle of the lock is broken, I think the item has already become too expensive to buy separately, has anyone experienced the same situation as me? Would it be better to weld and use it? If you have any aftermarket products, please recommend them, I didn't find them when I looked for them

A quick check of eBay shows there are some spares available, albeit kinda pricey. You can try to weld, but the handle has to withstand a fair bit of force to properly latch the top. You may look into having a new handle machined.
