Although I have to say that adding my DeWalt drycut changed that for me -- It was worth the money. Portaband gets a lot of use too, but nothing like the drycut saw. Of course, two of my three angle grinders still get a lot of use too, the ones with the cut off wheel and flap disc on them.
I have one Ryobi grinder and usually a stack of discs, cut off, flap disc, and wire wheel, near by. I have used my miter saw with a carbide blade a few times to get straight cuts on tubing.

I can't be bothered to be changing discs, so I have one grinder with a cutoff wheel, one with a flapdisc, and one with a big ole wire brush cup on it. Two of them are $13 HF ones, and they work fantastically.

It's funny. I had my old Ryobi burn up on me one day. I went to go buy a new one I got looking and they still carried that one for $25. I could have upgraded to the Dewalt or Milwaukee for $50. I thought about that for a minute. My original one lasted for like 10 years of abuse. For the price difference I didn't see the more expensive ones lasting double that...

I welded nuts into the subframe to accept the front bolts.

Just gotta bolt it in tomorrow when the paint is dry.

It's just rubber heater hose. We'll see how it holds up. If it doesn't then I'll probably fill that gap with window weld, that's stuff seems to handle some abuse.

Depending on what size the ID of the hole for your CABs is, I may just have a piece of delrin laying around that would work. Just let me know

Still have to mess with the alignment but here is how I currently sit for angle. Could be better, could be worse.

Started messing with exhaust stuff. Notched the rocker to give me a little more ground clearance.

Cut the back half off my old exhaust to re-route to the drivers side. Then did some sweet pie-cuts like all the kids are doing. Yes its ugly...

Sexy is nice. Functional is the priority tho. I've always been fine with pie cuts and mig welders. We can't all have baller builds. Plus no one will see that craftsmanship when your car is on track.

Exactly. Actually its the exhaust, no one ever sees it unless the car is broken. lol

And out there somewhere there is someone, that builds exhausts all the time, crying.

I used a bigger tip than I had originally planned and now I feel like aesthetically it'd about an inch too low. I might fix it.

Actually looks damn good to me. Love the tip. Reminds me of a flared brake line lol.

Thanks man. Yeah, I opted for a tip with resonator in an effort to reduce the echo. I am going to see how it sounds. I am tempted to go back and add one of those antidrone, deadend pipe things.

Do those actually work? I swear that's some marketing stunt where it really doesn't do anything.

Yeah they work, but there is some math involved to figure out the length you need. You need to basically know the frequency that you are trying to get rid of and calculate by the speed of sound and such.

Helmholz chambers? I think they work. There are a couple of different ways of recording your sound pattern and finding the frequency you need to cancel. It's all maths.

Finally got some tires mounted to my front wheels and got to see how I was looking for clearance with the new arms. Looks like I have about an inch before I hit the Lca now. But because of the bend in the outer tierod I'm only about 1/4" from that. That's an easy fix though. I'll just flip them side to side.

    Sorry, the pictures kinda suck...
