It's hard for me to believe you could find room to put one anywhere in an e36 without cutting out the wheel well.

There is no way you would fit an S400 on an E36. Here is david trans car with a gt45, which is the same physical size. He had the wheel well cut out and the compressor housing stuck through the hood.

It has a 1.10 T4 housing with an 87/81 mm turbine. I am going to get a .9 housing as well and will see which one it likes best. Based on the trap speeds I did in my car I think you could probably squeeze some more out of the S366. Mine was still making big gains in trap speed when I would increase the boost so I don't think it was done yet on my combo. It trapped 148-149 at 28 psi. I was still picking up alot of power at 32 psi for me but never made a pass with it. bke36is went 150 on his with a power glide and a billet wheel and I would sure think his car is heavier than yours.

It has a 71mm which makes it even more sick. You should buy the car....

Modaddict has 2 600+ turbo e36's. One is being built all drag, C4 auto etc etc. The other is a pristine 4 door. Low miles factory everything with a 4094. Drives like a caddy. I think he might be doing the right thing. One race car, one awesomely comfortable 600hp highway monster.

That would be nice. I want to get mine to be a reliable 8 second street car, then I want to do a 7 second tube chassis car, and eventually a 9 second 70's chevy C10 pickup. 10 year plan
I will build another 500-600whp car, it will he 2jZgte powered, the harder part is deciding what chassis it'll be in.

Are you doing all these wheelies and everything on stock rods and pistons?
'97 M3, Estoril blue, 2 dr, euro 6-spd, EFR 9180 divided T4 .92 IWG, RK tuning, CP 8.5:1 pistons, Eagle rods, Schrick cams, L19 11 mm ARP studs, O-ringed block, Supertech stainless/inconel valves, Supertech springs & Ti retainers, ported head, S54 oil pump/pan, 80 lb. injectors, OBD1 intake manifold, Steedspeed twin scroll T4, 3.5" SS exhaust, eBoost2 EBC, HFS-4 W/M injection, AEM Failsafe, Zeitronix data logger, Racelogic TC, OpenOBC w. ethanol %, Ireland Eng. engine mounts, UUC black tranny mounts w. enforcers, UUC twin disc feramic, ARC-8's, MCS 2-ways, Z3 rack, Rallyroad strut bar, X brace, Eibach sway bars, Ground Control LCAB bushings, Bimmerworld RTAB's, Powerflex subframe bushings, 210 4-clutch LSD, Stoptech BBK, titainium shims, steel braided lines, brake cooling ducts.
I put a set of stock bore wiseco pistons in it this spring but before that I ran the same boost on stock m52 pistons with regapped junkyard rings. Besides the pistons everything came from the junkyard with 180k miles. It still has stock non vanos m50 rods. The bearings and chains were the best ones from two motors. Stock valve train with locked s52 cams. Never had a valve job. $35 victor reinz head gasket with no orings.
You know, my main hero is the Sloppy Mechanic Matt Happel, but with posts like this you are actually right up there with him... I have to think about it, maybe you are even more heroic than he is! Lol

How fast did you run on the M52 pistons?
Otis is even more stock than me. I never got a pass on it with stock pistons with the boost turned up except just timing it with gps on the highway. I trapped 144 I think on my speedhut gps or something. One of the things I want to do sometime is get another stock junkyard bottom end and put head studs in it and gap the rings and see how fast I can get it to go. I don't know if there is a stock bottom end BMW record. Otis might have it.
If I built a drag racing BMW it would be an E24.
I was telling Perry about him a while back. I'm like this dude is you with a 5.3, doing things the internet experts say is unpossible - guys bragging about spending tens of thousands on this and that, being broken down all the time while he mops up at the track with a junkyard-stock 5.3
Ehh while were talking about other projects im picking up a '55 international harvester and gonna build a 4 link and stuff a s52 turbo in it. 5 on the floor with a bench seat lol.

Lol. Juggs sent me a link to a podcast that guy did, I think we would get along. Its really funny to listen to some people talk about how much money has to be spent to make X amount of power and you need this and that and this has to be just so or it won't make power and that needs to be this way or it won't last and you need a sheet metal fabricated doohickey and your widget needs to be billet sodium filled ceramic coated cryogenic treated titanium and the guy you need to do it for you only charges $30,000 and only makes you wait 3 years to put your junk together, and blah blah blah blah blah......
meanwhile in the real world I'm gonna drive around you with a slant 6 I screwed together in a shed with a tractor turbo on it
Haha, yep! I guess it really just comes down to what you enjoy.
BTW, Otis is definitely one of my heroes too.
Thers a reason why alot of class racers with resteictions on turbo size run the borgs....and call em cheater turbos...
Size for size the borg will always make more ....they are just huge and have a great wheel and housing selections
