Generally agree too. But I left the audio on. Thought it was a nice job - edits made it look like a Sunday drive on a wide open track, music added to the effect. There's about a thousand other Laguna seca videos available with unedited footage and track noise.

You have good lines, looked like fun. There sure were some pretty quick ones out there! And you mean Mosport, right?

Thanks, I had a blast with this group! And yes, Mosport...I miss that name.

Dave, thanks for uploading that video - I knew that car was fast, but damn!! He closed a good 30+ car lengths at some points.....I did laugh pretty good at the S54 comment, I only wish I had one in there!! Just for reference, my max speed was 200Km/h on the dot. Stock M52 with M50 manifold(no tune), A/C delete and clutch fan delete. The key to my cars perforamce is that it only weighs 2587lbs.

Running at Buttonwillow 13CCW on October 13, 2013. NASA HPDE 3. My first time on R-comps and I can't find the limits of the tires--in other words the tires let me go faster than before but relative to available grip, I'm slower!

Some novice slowness in my old E46 but nevertheless, some good footage at Watkins Glen:

Shenandoah - man the E46 felt heavy out there!

Hey Dan, that's was a pretty awesome video production. I enjoyed watching the bird's eye view in hi-def. Are you sure it was the 13th? I watched some of the races and awards ceremonies on the 13th and am quite sure I would have noticed the mini-helicopter camera flying around. Plus I don't think they lined up all the Spec E30 drivers on the track like that on Sunday, and most importantly from my stomach's point of view, there was no BBQ on Sunday.

Here's a decent lap at NJMP Thunderbolt in my 02 Z06. Johnny OConnell Stage 1 suspension, Hawk DCT pads and Nitto NT-05 tires.

How do you like the DCTs? We really wanted to find some DTC-30s for the Cortina, but it appears that none of the DCT compounds are available for that pad shape...the Hawk Blacks we use now aren't quite enough I don't think.

i've been using the DCT 70/60s since 2007, on e30s, e36s and now my Z06. I love them. They can take a beating, modulate very well, are reasonably priced, and aren't terrible on rotors. Highly recommended.

Without derailing the thread too much, do you think the 60s would be too much pad for a ~1750lb car with rear drums? We were thinking about the 30s for that reason, but we're no experts by any means.

Here's a video to keep things on track (so to speak)!

My Dad had to start from the back of the pack due to a bad starter and he moved all the way through to the lead!

I have no experience with the 30s, but I believe the 60s or 70s would be too much with drums out-back. I certainly wouldn't do it in my Austin Healey 3000 with rear drums

This was the last TT session of the weekend. Just barely broke the TTD record of 1:24.5 with a 1:24.3. Lots of mid-high 1:24s in there.

According to my data logger, there is a low 1:22 with the perfect lap strung together (cherry picking the best sector times) and a mid 1:23.x during the lap where I had to go around the TTU eclipse.

Great driving Mark! Sucks that our 1:23 lap we ran into the TTU car cooling down. Oh well, now you get to come back and break your record.

Now you can show me the line at NJMP!
