Really cold day at Circuit of the Americas. 1st session was 26F with a wind chill of 13F. I'm lucky to live about an hour way and call this my home track. This was 4th session after the temp had warmed up to freezing. I was surprised at how well the tires gripped after about the 3rd or 4th lap. Car is 1996 328is with M3 brakes, diff, sway bars, TCKline coilovers and Bridgestone RE71R's on 17" BBS wheels. The car lacks in engine power... it's the original engine with 209k miles on it but handles great. Best lap was 2:52.09
COTA Dec 18
Lime Rock Park... the most fun you can have in a mile and a half.
some top speed (rev limited) fun at the Pocono tri-oval...need a 6th gear....
Sorry about the bad video quality, but here's my dad spinning his 911 as I chase him around Laguna Seca. I wasn't worried about hitting him as he spun away, but as I got closer he started coming back towards me. Ended up going into the dirt a little. Good fun all around!

My E36 is vinyl wrapped, I believe its just called Gloss Bright Yellow
Honestly, we're still not really sure why he spun. Probably a combination of things, main cause is probably a little too much skinny pedal. This was the first time he tracked the car, and the car had all seasons or something on it. I had some similar tires on my front wheels and they were basically melted by the end of the day. Tail happy 911 + crappy tires = something like this.
That was a great day, I ended up getting 55-60 laps in. Track was mostly empty by the end, and the fog started to come in. What an experience!
Of course, I had my own problems too
Finally figured out a fast line through T2, and I spin

This past weekend at MSR Cresson with the PCA running the full 3.1. Set a new PB of 2:28:84 in lap 5 of this clip. Took a while to get by the traffic and get some room to run.

2017 has begun!
First time at the Ridge motorsport Park, morning sessions was hail and rain personal best 1:55.59(forgot to hit record on that)
Did Thunderhill west on Easters, rained a bit then dried up for last 2 sessions. First session best lap was 1:41.85, best lap on last session was 1:35.62. Stock springs/shocks square set-up on 275/35R18 Conti Extreme Contact DW, stainless brake lines, ATE 200 fluid. Too much lean, looking to get GC coilovers, camber plates, and rear swaybar in near future.
NCM with NASA GL/Central. Had a blast, it is a really fun track to drive. Didn't win my class, but got 2nd both days.
Fourth session from my first time at Mission Raceway in my 335i, stock running Pilot Sport A/S 3.
Was able to chase and pass a ?C63 AMG & E46 M3 & ?STI until I saw my friend up ahead and spun out
Last Friday (4/14) with NASA NE at Lime Rock. Best ever full lap for me! 1:06.81. First day going solo too. Was pretty nervous about it at first but instinct took over and I just drove the car.
Virtual best that day was a 1:04.2 so still A LOT left. Sorry for the camera freaking out. forgot to turn off auto-focus.

Nice laps!
Yeah I had always used the front facing version and this was the one time I tried the back Camera. Lessons learned. Harry's can be really annoying with stuff like this. Also have a full video that was recorded upside down even though it showed it right side up when I hit record.

Since we are on LRP, here is a 1:02.5 from a couple years ago on Direzzas. Car is a bit lighter now with some RE71s on it. Hoping for 1:01s when I make it out there this year.

Session 1 of the second day of my recent BMW Club Racing school at MSR Cresson on the 1.7 CCW loop. This was basically a warm-up open passing session practicing the lessons of day #1. 16 students, 8 instructors, and all different kinds of cars meant everyone had somebody to play with. I battled with an M4 GTS from the 15 minute mark until just after the 20 minute mark in this clip.
Even if I'm never in a single race, the skills I learned this weekend will make me a much better and safer driver. Best money I've ever spent for track time!

My fastest lap at Thunderhill West. Still have lots of work to do in terms of learning the car/track and setting up the car (alignment, tire pressures), but overall the car went well and it was a blast!

Not quite the day I had visualized after all of these long months spent preparing the car to handle my 10/10ths. However, I drove it home, and bettered my PB (not in this vid) by nearly 4 seconds, so I wont complain too much. I still learned a lot, & have a new list of priorities before next months trip to Buttonwillow. I had wanted to continue the chase of the e46m3, but my brake pads (HP+) had had enough, and the 225 Nankangs were starting to grease up a bit.
I guess I'm not cut out for the drift life
