I got to run at teh new M1 Concurse track in Pontiac Michigan. Fun little course - definitley nice to have near by but I wouldn't drive more than a few hours out of your way to come to it. Its small, 1.5mi, and tight. Hard to pass and the corners you might want to dive bomb someone are usually really tight and makes it hard. Here is my highlight reel with teh best lap in the dry, a wet lap, some near spins, and other fun things. Toward the end an Evo passes me and goes off...
M1 course
nice to see that course.....but the camera location was hard to stay with...
and as an instructor, it was hard to watch your hand shuffle on the wheel.....and your body leans....lol
was that instrctr even watching????
He wasn't an instructor, just a friend riding along.
Keep in mind Im not in a race seat. I am bracing myself against the door with my knee and the center concsole with my other knee. I can't imagine no one would lean... Looking at your picture, look how leaned over you are in a race seat - I presume you are in the bimmer.

Last weekend was Oktoberfest at Laguna Seca!
Finally made it back out this past weekend for my second race as a novice. SCCA MARRS 8&9 at Summit Point. I haven't downloaded my data yet, but based on Race Monitor I think this is my best lap of the weekend (1:25.4):
The car was great but I need work. I'm turning in too early in many places and I'm on/off the throttle in others. If you are locked in a basement somewhere and have nothing better to do you can watch the entire race flag to flag below. My start wasn't great. The fast guys stayed in front of me and the slower (less HP) cars stayed behind me for the entire race. I finished 6th out of 27, 3rd in class (STU) out of 4 I think.

A very short video of me discovering that my ABS doesn't work, and that I probably need to let the car settle before I jam on the brakes. 3 or 4 laps into the Sunday group 3 race I locked up my front right wheel into T5 at Summit Point. The smoke inside the car and in the mirrors was impressive, as was the tall cloud of smoke you can see out the right window as I loop around the carousel.
The vibration from the flat spotted front wheel was pretty awful, but I decided to finish the race anyway.
First time at Pacific Raceways
Still don't know the braking zones

Some fun with my wife's stock berz at Mosport with the BMW Club solo group. First few laps is all traffic, party begins around 9:00. The stock pads did OK but I had to hold back going down 4 because braking up 5 was sketchy.
wasnt payin much attn at first..I was impressed that it appears to b a manual?..I like MoSport etc etc
what model?..I like it....holds well.....
then saw the 911 blow by.....
thennnnnnnn I was like crap hes moving 175 mph?.......no way......thats Kiloms right?
Yeah it's a stock Subaru BRZ. It's very slow in a straight line mainly due to the gearing. It's a 2800lb car with 200hp, it shouldn't be this slow and wouldn't if it wasn't geared so poorly. I'm barely getting into 5th at the top of the hill. Most people are over 200 as they start coasting by the bridge and I'm flat out into the braking zone at 175 lol...
It's an exceptional car otherwise, I love everything about it. It's also the perfect learning car for my wife. I keep begging her to let me get a supercharger, coilovers, some real tires... no she tells me to f off and go get my E30 off the hoist and on the track. And to be fair, other than straight line speed, the car needs nothing, except maybe better brake pads.
Here is a NASA GTS2 race from the Rocy Mountain Region at High Plains Raceway over Labor Day weekend. The race in our class is all E36 M3's.

Just finished my first HPDE weekend. Had a blast and learned a lot about driving. Here's a quick clip of my 4 fastest laps, with some traffic in between.
Super audio Fail on my part but I went to the open house for the brand spanking new club motorsport track this weekend. Laps were a lead follow with no passing but still check out this facility and the views are insane. I can't wait till the safety barriers are up and we can go full tilt at this track.

MSR Cresson 1.7 CCW with Maverick Region PCA HPDE, Yellow run group. Last run of the day and I was working on some adjustments after an instructor ride along. I still need a better GPS signal before the speed data is closer to true, but the overall lap times should be okay.

that track looks like fun. no walls to worry about so you can push hard.
my best from the past weekend at National Corvette Museum recorded on Harrys 2:43. Have a GoPro lap of 2:39. Great end to the "season". till next year!
Latest session at MSR Cresson with PCA. Mixed run groups due to club race that weekend, so lots of traffic. Still improved my PB to 1:24:03 in lap 22 while trying to chase down my wife.
