    hmmmmm

perhaps the flywheel from M52 I tried was e39 528i? or marked incorrectly - this is always a chance.

the E34 525i 5 speed manual non vanos used a single mass 240mm + zf SG310 5 speed and it was direct interchange with S50/s52 pressure plate

^ -_____- Anyway, I just ordered AKG rcab pocket, front and rear subframe reinforcement plates. came out to be 149 bucks shipped. I just noticed I do not have a fan on my S54 pullout.... Can I reuse my m52 fan? - Patrick

    - - - Updated - - -

Correction- I know the fan will screw on but can the whole assembly transfer? I'm not sure if those pieces were included. I will confirm this weekend.

This is turning into post spray, my apologies. I also cannot find the bottom end specs for installing the VAC rod bearings and connectors. I obv do not want to miss spec on those items.

Speak to VAC about assembly torque, if not I am sure B.J. can pull it up in Motor All Data.

Edit- Regarding the Oil pump nut on the S54, is it the same nut on the S52. Looking at purchasing the Rally Road OPN and unsure if they were the same part.

Double edit- Yes they are the same part number I guess rally road needs to expand their application chart.

Parts are starting to trickle in. OEM header gaskets and vanos bolts will be here Wednesday. The only hardware I have left are the gaskets for the s54. i believe I will only replace the oil pan and valve cover gaskets.

edited for you throw those communist works of art in the trash as they are not designed to actually be used with a S54

OEM bmw gaskets for s54 headers should fit

    Good Morning!

Rob and Dave are on pace to have my wiring harness, performance tune and A/C integration in my hands by next Thursday... which makes the build next weekend! AHH!

I had a question for the people-

I am trying to figure out what I need to allow the oil temp sensor to work on my European cluster. Can anyone help me out? The threads I found were not very clear.. hopefully you all can help me out.

    Patrick

Never done it on the s54, but here it goes for a euro swap. You just need to find the oil temp sender line from the x20or??.
You need to cut the line from the gas mileage sensor from the connector that goes into the back of the cluster(x16). Connect the oil temp line to that empty line to the connector(x16). Then you have to take the connector apart and move it to the appropriate spot in the connector, #13 on the x16(I believe).

I just emailed Rob about the cruise control. I am not sure.

I forgot to pick up the primary s54 o2 sensors so those are on rush. all fluids and gaskets are in today as well.

We measured out the valves last night. a handful were a thousandth off. Those will be replaced as well. My morning coffee hasn't kicked in yet s oI apologize for the bland post haha.

Please send me a PM in regards to acquiring a harness and tune.

There will be cruise control on the final version of our product, but right now we are continuing testing on our development car to ensure nothing happens similar to that of Toyota (LOL).

    Thanks everyone.

Way to go Patrick, it is looking nice!

NOTE: Do not use the exhaust gasket to the cyl head that came with those headers. Genuine BMW please
