    yay
    Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

What is the story with those inside door pulls?

I think that's the tallest shifter on earth.

Love that it's back together man. Great to see all that time and work come together the way you wanted it after the disappointment in the first body shop experience.

    - 98 m3, techno/anthrazit cloth, 124k and officially worthless - 89 m3, alpine/black 143k and officially old - 2000 323it, tiag/grey, 169k and officially boring

Cheers man, yeh it was definitely a downer, felt like I'd never get the car back, but now it is and I'm loving every minute of it!!

Still so many small things to sort on it though, but that will come with time and doesn't stop me driving it

not done a great deal to the car lately, cruise control is working nicely, been using it every day to and from work

yesterday i did an oil change, and finally changed the power steering line setup, forgot to take pics though!! just took out the pointless loop that goes along the steering rack, and went straight to the rack with a banjo fitting.

also installed the rad shroud, which i need to add some holes and clips along the front, due to the shitty aftermarket nose panel not fitting nicely

finishes off the engine bay though, just needs some more cleaning and new plastics oneday

doing some work to my headlights when other things turn up, but ive 3d printed some adapters to replace the stock twisty plugs with deutsch connectors. the stock plugs are breaking at the wires, and collect moisture rather easily, causing some corrosion.

driving this thing everyday im already picking up stone chips and such, but its such a blast to drive.

this will be probably the last picture/update for a while, as in a bit over a weeks time i'll be moving upto queensland, so will be spending time focussing on settling in at a new town/job/everything.

i'll be loading the car up with the essentials and driving up, and i'll truck all my other stuff up once ive sorted a house of my own.

been a while since an update. new plates only took me 2 years after moving interstate!!

bumped the front wheel lips from 2" to 2.75" bubbles to match the rears, craig from whitehorse knocked it out of the park again!

undecided if i lower the rear a bit, the rake looks good but i still think it needs a bit more low

not really. I don't like the headunit. its ok, but like most android units there's things that are just "off" with how it works.

the fascia worked well but I still need to print a final version.

I want to drop the money on a good brand name double din to hack up and use, but its far from a priority right now

9 years of ownership and no chance of getting rid of it now. its been daily driven for most of those 9 years, finally it gets a break now I've got an x5 in the stable. so the 36 will get a bit of a birthday this year with some freshen up bits and upgrades, should finally get the supercharger back on and tuned properly

Beautiful car. Been doing a lot of reading on the forums lately to plan a FI on my M3. I am amazed at how some great threads just die and how many broken photo links there are.

cheers! unfortunately quite a few forums have gone the way of the dodo thanks to facebook. its a shame because there is so much info out there. imageshack killed way too many pic links, most of mine are dead due to dropbox not allowing hot linking anymore, and its a whole bunch of effort to re-upload and edit every post on every forum im on

Still think this thing is tough as hell. Love the stance. Recently lowered mine a bit, now that I see yours I'm jealous of the low.
