I can speak first hand, no video will capture the torture felt in that passenger seat.
Jordan and I are still sorting a few rich spots in the 93 tune and soon heading back to ethanol. 93 is just too boring.

The new (used) driveshaft is already showing signs of twisting and I've been "easy" on it just running the car on the spring. Traction at lower power levels isn't really an issue. It's almost boring.
Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday I'll be measuring for a custom one then it's time to break some axles.

We only turned it to 24psi didn't we? Hahaha. I think it was set at 1.7 bar when we were tooling around there at the end.

Have to start higher than 60 - that's still 2nd gear range (6100RPM)!

Were you at a shop opening in Charlotte a few weeks ago? Heard some turbo Shoe took top dyno prize... Called it Mindy, and had a paperw8 license plate.

Yes, that was me. I saw your email - I am sorry that I didn't respond sooner - I've just been very, very busy.
The event is Schuh Syndikat - pretty cool event. http://schuhsyndikat.org/
Next year it is May 1st - 4th. You should, at a minimum, plan on coming on the mountain drive.
I'm going to say the best part of the dyno was watching a Ford Mustang get stuck on it. HAHA.
Here's a video from the day that someone else posted: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater
Just had the controller set at 1.5 bar and had a ton of trouble getting it to load right so I'm sure it could have made A LOT more than just the whimpy 580whp
I was in Charlotte and will confirm that Mindy was no where near that dyno. She spent the entire evening under the hammer of some PDR guy.

Saturday morning I woke up early and started taking pictures / measuring for a driveshaft.
I informed Clay that my shaft was 48 3/4" long - he was speechless.
Jordan made a special trip to VA just to help me out with a few driveability issues I was having. He arrived Satruday AM around 8:30 after driving all night - crazy if you ask me. There were a few people that stopped by during the day to see him while I was pulling a terrible differential from an E36 (that consequently had the vent clogged and was pressurized coating me, and my mouth, with differential fluid). Also I helped a friend remove his vanos, retime his cams, and reinstall everything.
By the end of the day on Saturday, both Jordan and I were pooped, but the car was running great on 93 with no more rich misfires.
Sunday morning I woke up early to fetch some goodness:
My buddy Beau wanted to come for the ride along.
Drained the 93 out of the tank and put in 5 gallons of E85 - this is the 5 gallon mark on my car. It's a little less accurate than stock (not much), but at least it works. The tank constraints are so much greater on the Z3.
We put in another 5 gallons and I tested the purity of the E85. To my surprise, this is the GOOD stuff! About 7-8% impure ethanol for E92. NICE!
Jordan was also able to configure a secondary stationary rev limiter to be used for launching the car - and yes, it does build a small amount of boost. This will ensure that drivetrain parts break. It deactivates when it sees a signal about 5mph from the differential and kicks in the normal 7200rpm limiter.
Jordan departed Sunday about 8PM to head home.
I then took my wife out for a quick drive at 28psi. She is a champ for putting up with me.
It is Monday, and I am still very tired from everything that went on over the weekend.
A big thumbs up for Jordan. We have a few more little things to figure out - like a CEL for some removed fuel components. But are on the straight and narrow now!

The wife, mistress, and I went out to dinner to celebrate my wife's grandparents 62nd anniversary last night.
Mindy was not pleased at the food choices at the restaurant, so we had to go elsewhere to get the food she required.
And we hit a quintuple of cincos.
LOL. Nice pics, and posts Jon

Looking good.
I'm kinda lost...was there another major failure after it became a e85 monster making 700whp on a spa t3 mani and tractorpulling torques?? I know a jammed vanos was mentioned but I thought that was it?
