Have BMW alarm and need new Key remote.

On the alarms that come with the M3 it has a key remote but if you lose it you'll have to pay $100 to replace it so I'm told. Is there a cheaper way of getting a second one??

My M3 came with two remotes when I had the factory alarm system installed. You might be able to find someone who will sell their second remote...or if the car owner had a BMW alarm and then changed the alarm for an aftermarket system he doesn't need a BMW remote at all.

I would make a "buy" request in the "Buy - Sale - Trade" forum. You might get lucky!

So basically if u lose it your screwed. Odds of finding one ar'nt good. Wish I could just use a remote from an alarm place an have them match the frequencey.

Well, you're not totally screwed... You're just out $100 for a new remote if you can't find a used one.
