So my situation is that I have no spark or compression after replacing my engine. I was able to gain compression after removing the valvetronic motor and trying to crank the engine but it was only around 90 psi. I believe there is something electrical which is not right. Do you have any suggestions for me. I am using the wiring harness that came with the engine that I purchased. I also cleared all the codes and codes that popped up again are 2a9a and 2a9b. Would those codes cause a no spark or no compression issue?
So I replaced the cps and the eccentric SHAFT sensor. Changed out vanos solenoids and cam position sensors. Still nothing. I am taking it the a bummer specialist shop and they are going to reprogram it. I think the dme is locked up from the whole issue the the engine and bad battery.
Did you ever resolve your issue?
No compression is scary. These are interference engines. Hope it really is just cam timing, and not so offset that it bent valvess.
Are ALL cylinders at 90?
