Also looking for older SP Daten files. I'm trying to program an e38 6 speed swap and having issues. Figured older Daten files might help... Anyone have any?

The installation package for INPA v3.01(aka 4.4.7)/EDIABAS 6.4.3 contains NCS v3.0.8 and will have DATEN files for E38 from 2004. Failing that, email me and I can give you a copy of a working DIS v39 virtual machine.

Anyone have the e89 data folder for the jbbf81 module, possibly v26?

I have a bunch of old Progman discs. Think I have like v20-v29. Not every one in between but a lot.

Do you know if I can use the daten files from the discs with winkfp to update individual modules. Or, would there be compatibility issues?

You can, but it would be downgrading (if you can even find files for, I assume, your 335i), and can cause some newer update modules to be incompatible. Unless you have a clear goal to downgrade (usually for experimentation), there isn't a benefit.

Do you still have those progman discs. I really need some old files particularly from v25. V26 may have what I'm looking for too. I'd be willing to purchase if your looking to sell. Unless you can give me access to the e90 files somehow.

This is for a 2007 e90. The assembly identification number from the UIF is 4116461 for the junction box electronics module. The data folder is jbbf81. UIF says the date of this file is from 12/4/2003. If you can provide the entire folder, that would be helpful. If you can't find that file, i can use the folder for the daten files after that date say v20 or v25 or both please. Or any folders for the module from v20 - v25. Thank you

Keep in mind that factory original flash files are not included in the daten files. Only the updates. So if 4116461 was the original flash, you may be out of luck.

This is why I want the folders from v20-v25 so I can chose an updated file from that time frame and have some options. Thanks.

    Hey nightkrawler,
I don't necessarily have to have the exact file and prefer the folders jbbf81 v20-v25. This would give me some options. Any of those older files from around v23, 25 should have the options im looking for.

A software update a couple years back integrated ediff as part of ABS. Coding on my vehicle no longer codes the feature off. The result is braking, throttle cut, boost reduction and or ignition retard during any perceived traction loss. In a performance environment, this isn't always desired. Before, dsc off meant no intervention from traction control. The junction box module acts as the central gateway to other modules such as dme, egs, dsc etc. I've experimented with updating older datens from v41 but this just shifts the brake biasing to more the front axle. My hope is using daten files closer to the build date of my chassis would get rid of ediff. July 2007 build date would be v25 daten even though the original file was dated in 2003. Im hoping you can spare v20 and v25. This would be a big help in helping me draw a conclusion on the matter.

never heard of this ediff and im a bmw tech, but i'll trust you. think you'd be better off finding someone who can do a custom tune for you. the e90 wasn't released in usa till model year 06, and there was no 335 available then. there should be no coding files for a jbe from 03 as afaik there was no car that had a jbe yet. the folders are too large to send so if you can tell me the exact file/s you need i'll try and upload them to google drive or something.

The file listed in the UIF is 4116461 but i dont think youll find it. So forget about that file if you don't see it. Since I dont have the folder to view the updated files as they were released, i won't be able to give you a file number in their subsequent order. However, are you able to check the jbbf81 folder from v20 and v25 for the e90. Just pull a random file from each folder and send to me for review. I can compare them to some data I have. V25 may be all I need but I'm not sure. I appreciate your help.

Ok. Are you able to use google drive. I don't have much experience with it but it sounds fairly simple. I think you just add my email for the specific files to give me permission to download. That way theyre sharable. I think the file size should be ok. What do you think?

I've been doing some research. You can also upload your files to Onedrive. Onedrive and Google drive gives you 15gb free. You can use Dropbox too. Dropbox gives 2gb free. Let me know which one you want to use and will get mine setup too.

    Sigh.
Doubt they will be able to help you, but here is v24 E89 Daten, untouched, just pulled from Progman v24. All there is in the JBBF81 folder is 9134484A.0pa
I will remove it from my google drive after a few days, so let me know when downloaded.

Again, keep in mind that factory programming files (never updated modules) are never included in daten. Only the subsequent updates. I haven't yet seen them actually remove from the update files with new releases, just adding the new updates to the folders.

try his v24 files and if they don't work i''ll give you the one from v20. though i think you're looking in the wrong place. how do you know this option is in the jbe sw? jbe afaik doesn't really have anything to do with the dsc afaik, as i'd have to look at a bus diagram for the e90 to remember what the gw module/s are, thats just for communication and programming. think again you're looking in the wrong place.
