Question 1985 735i Stalls and wont start...parts needed

    Hey Everyone,
I posted here a while back around Christmas about my car sarted to stall and made an hour trip take three!! I was told here that I needed to check the main relay (hope that is the fuel injection relay at firewall passenger side). I replaced the before mentioned relay and still no start. I have read everywhere and have been told the problem most surely was the ECU/computer. Does anyone have another check I should try before I purchase a new/refurb Computer or is it even worth hunting down a used on? Does anyone have advice for me as I want to get the Old German back on the road??

Background information: Call has been stalling and not restarting for 5-30 min or wont start at all sometimes. I is getting worse, I mean it will seldon start these days
