What's the word?? Did everyone make it alright?
Everyone made it with little to no issue. Trevor had a little issue that was quickly sorted. I was a lazy photog as I was too busy hanging out and talking. But, I did manage to get a few photos off.
My copilot Max:
The weather on Sunday turned very typical for Oregon:
A thunderstorm rolled in just in time for the drive home.

Unfortunately I missed photographing Allan Hesch's 320is. Trevor had a stipped hub, and Allan who lives in Eugene, had a spare. So we took a trip to Allan's compound. And compound is the best word to describe it. Around every corner was a BMW, most of which were E21s. I think that Jeff took some pictures while we were there. For those that don't know, Allan is the guy who bought my old Baur.

One of these days we'll get a long line of E21's hauling up a twisty mountain road!
Next year Washington?
Leavenworth, Washington seemed to appeal to Bruce and Jeff. It's a wonderful Bavarian themed town in the Cascades. I know of a beautiful route from Portland that is sure to impress you and your car. Camping would be an option, but staying at one of the hotels on the main drag is optimal. I also suggested that we meet up the same weekend of the Leavenworth Drive, which is normally Father's Day weekend. That weekend Leavenworht will be flooded with all age and makes euro cars from VWs to Lamborghinis.
I think this might bring out some people that would otherwise not be interested in camping out in the boonies.

Next June Sounds good. I would like to do a Rainier hike while i'm up there anyway. Keeping the calendar clear...
Any meets in southern Oregon?
So these would be the euro bumper on back or did you do something else?
Is this an exclusive meetup? I'd be happy to join in next time it rolls around!
If I could get the time off I'd like to go.
Get a load of this guy
Plenty of time to plan. We should be driving up to Leavenworth around Mid-June. Depending on when my next daughter decides to join the world, will decide whether I'm joining in.

My sugar cube is comming out of the body shop very soon. and boy is the paint badass!!
I will be able to take it to the first of these events! I haven't driven it in so long I have almost forgot...the true joy of that car.
I am going to have to protect it somehow as I am going to see if it is worthy of a trophy at "Legends of the Autobahn" in August.
But that car will never be a trailer queen..what fun would that be??
Jeff
Jeff, that's awesome. Clear bra maybe? Maybe a temporary vinyl wrap of the front end?
If I can make it, I'm thinking the E28 will be the weapon of choice. I'm finally towing it off to the shop and paying the man to sort her out. I picked up these fancy old Enkei EK98s to try and make up for the neglect. She's still mad at me.

That's true. I'm not looking forward to what other gremlins have snuck into the car while it's been hibernating in the elements for close to a year.
Time to pay the piper.

The E28 is up and running. The new gremlin turned out to be the heater core. It's like a lottery win for someone. My daughter's arrival date is still going to make this a close call on being able to go. Either way, I'm putting out the word as if I were going for sure. You can find the event on the West Coast E21 Meet page.
Thanks for letting me borrow the image. It's the only photo that shows how many E21's were in one place.

Jeff, I can't wait to see your car. I'll be at the event in Carmel, see you there! I'm starting a new job in a few weeks so taking a trip in June is probably out for me, but if I can swing it I will.
Just curious is the meet in Leavenworth is still going to happen? I'm new to the forum but am interested in meeting other e21 owners in the PNW. Any excuse to drive it around really.

The plan sounds unchanged so far.
