After numerous requests from forum members over the past few months, we are now hosting a Group Buy for the EC-7 wheels! We wanted to support a larger part of the BMW community so there are fitments for the E36, E36 M3, E46, E46 M3, Z4, Z3, E8X, E82 1M, E9X, and E9X M3.

Free Shipping*

• Free Shipping is available to members in the 48 mainland US states. Alaska, Hawaii, and International members will receive a $75 credit off the actual cost of shipping.
• Non-mainland/international members: please contact us prior to ordering for a shipping quote. We'll either send you an invoice, or a code to adjust your order.
• Free shipping and this discounted price are for this product only and does not cover extras added to the cart such as spacers, lugs, center caps or other store products unless those produces also offer free shipping. Adding others parts may result in a shipping fee.
• Due to package sizes, the cart may calculate an unreasonable shipping rate for add on items. If this occurs, contact us prior to checkout, and we will adjust your extra item shipping costs if there is an issue.
• Non Group Buy parts will ship with your wheel order unless requested in the comment field at checkout.

Local Pickup Discount:

• Local customers who pick up their set will receive a $35 discount on their order in lieu of free shipping. Local pickup discounts are provided at time of pickup as a refund, and are not provided in advance. You MUST write "local pickup" in the comment field at checkout so that we do not ship your order. We will call you when your set is ready to schedule a pickup from our Livermore 94550 warehouse.

When do these ship?:

CURRENT ETA: Most orders a week after the close of the group buy, remaining orders by end of April.

• This is a Group Buy. Wheels do not ship the day after making payment like a traditional order.
• 80% of order should ship out a week after the group buy closes. Some will ship immediately. Shipment time is based on availability, and cannot be exactly calculated in advance since wheels are scheduled to arrive at our facility in three shipments throughout March.
• Customs/Port delays can add an extra 1 week delay, but it's rare.
• We cannot guarantee an exact ETA date. Our estimates have historically been conservative and within +/- two weeks of our ETA date.
• We will keep everyone up to date of even minor changes if they occur via this thread.
• All customer orders will ship out as they become available, after the close date.
• Tracking numbers will be provided to all buyers, and important progress updates will be posted on this forum, and on corresponding product pages.

Finish Availability

• Finish availability will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Due to high demand on the feeler list, some finishes will sell out.
• You have multiple options for selecting how we should process your order if your preferred finish happened to sell out.
  
  1. Select your preferred finish plus a secondary back-up finish. If your first finish is not available we will automatically switch your order to the second finish to complete your order. At the time of shipping you will be notified which finish has been shipped.
  2. Select your preferred finish, and do not select a secondary finish. "No alternative choice". By selecting this option you are asking us to cancel and fully refund your order automatically if your preferred finish is not available. Group Buy pricing is only available for in stock inventory. Pricing will not be honored for back-orders, or for future stock.
  3. Select "size change" if paint finish is a priority, and you would rather see what other sizes are available, select this option and we will contact you to discuss alternative sizes that would work for your fitment. There is no guarantee we will have all other sizes available. You may cancel your order if we do not have a good substitute size available.
• We will try to stay up to date with sold out finishes/sizes by posting them here and on the forums.
  

How do I join? Payments and Sign-up info

• This Group Buy is currently in the “feeler” phase. During this period members simply need to post their requested sizes/finish. We will add you to our master list and combine that across all the forums. No payment is necessary until the Payment phase begins on March 18th. You are not obligated to pay after adding your name to the list.
• During the payment phase, a link will be posted to a checkout page on our site. Domestic buyers should use our site to complete payment. International buyers should contact us for an invoice and PayPal or wire transfer details.
• The last day to join and make payment is March 26th. No orders can be placed after this date.
• Buyers are not officially part of the Group Buy until they've paid on our website's Group Buy page or contacted us to make payment.
• Credit cards will be authorized only for the price listed at sign-up. Cards will be charge the final price after the close of the Group Buy and the member count is totaled. This automatically insures that everyone is billed for the highest discount reached, regardless of when they joined
• PayPal accounts will be charged the amount due at sign-up due to a lack of authorization feature. If additional discount levels are reached, then PayPal paying members will receive partial discounts to make up for the difference.
• The Group Buy page will contain a list of members as they join. It is updated as they sign up within 24 hours and does not accurately represent the exact number of members at any given time.
• If Aftermarket Performance Express Corp. elects to cancel the group buy due to low order volume or a production issue, ALL customers will be provided full refunds if their payment was already processed.

Discount Tiers

• The price you pay at sign up is based on how many members are on the feeler list.
• At the close of the Group Buy, everyone's order/payment will be adjusted up or down to the final discount tier reached. In almost all cases, we end reaching higher tier levels, which results in all or most paying members to receive additional discounts.
• In the end, everyone pays the same price.
• There is zero advantage in signing up at the last minute, yet most members still wait till the last 2~ days.
• Early sign-ups promote others to sign-up, and gives confidence to the stragglers. If you know you’re buying then pay early to keep the momentum going.

Refunds

• There are NO refunds on Group Buy orders. Group Buys are special order, which is why payment is taken in advance
• Only replacement of defective, or mis-shipped products are available.
• Members cannot change colors or sizes after item receipt for Group Buy orders.
• These products are priced at promotional pricing and do not carry that same return policy as our retail priced items. If you would like a traditional 30 Day return policy then we recommend purchasing at the retail price, and not via the Group Buy.

Wheel Details:

Manufacturing process:
All APEX wheels are flow-formed resulting in a light weight, track and street worthy wheel. Flow-forming significantly reduces weight in the barrel by rolling the barrel out into it's final shape using large wheels/disks applying high pressure. This step is the same step that monoblock forged wheels go through to shape their barrels. By doing this, the flow-formed wheel's barrel has the same density and strength as the barrel of a fully forged wheel. This significantly reduces rotational mass at the furthest point from the center, which is the most important weight savings area on a wheel.

Strength:
These wheels are fully JWL/VIA certified. Strength testing was done by the VIA in Japan.

Misc.

• Comes with carbon-look APEX center caps.
• Accepts OEM Roundel center caps.
• Does not come with valve stems.
• Installs using your factory lugs or a stud conversion.
• BMW hub-centric - no centering rings
• Accepts all wheel spacers including 5mm while still remaining hub-centric.
• TPMS compatible.

What do you guys recommend as far as sizes for m coupes (must be bbk friendly)?

The EC-7 aka extreme clearance - 7 spoke has room to fit a 380mm Brembo bbk in most instances and if not the largest wheel spacer it would need is a 5mm. All of the bbk applications on the Z3M should be a spacer free fitment with the EC-7's.

Your M-Coupes can easily fit the 18x11" ET25 wheel in the rear with a 295/30/18 or 285/35/18 tire.

In the front I can suggest a few different options:

• The 18x8.5" ET35 is a direct fitment for your car with a 235/40/18 or 245/35/18 front tire.
• The 18x9" ET31 wheel is also a great fitment for those looking for a more aggressive concave fitment for the front and that already have additional negative camber in the front of the car. The smallest tire we can suggest using on this wheel is the 245/35/18 tire but ideally a 255/35/18 tire would be used at a minimum of -2.5 degrees of camber. We cannot recommend this wheel without additional negative camber even with undersized tires because there is the possibility for rubbing.

At this time we do not have the ability to perform test fitments since we have just moved into a new warehouse and do not have a mount and balance machine set up yet.

Is this a track fitment you are trying to pull off?

Any of the 18x9" or 18x9.5" square set ups for your car will absolutely require additional negative camber achieved through camber plates on the car. I Would recommend either the 18x9" ET31 wheel with a 255/35/18 tire, maximum negative camber up front, and a 20mm wheel spacer in the rear for a wider track width and aesthetic purposes OR it could also be possible to do the 18x9.5" ET35 wheel with the same tire size, negative camber, and rear spacer. These two wheels would have the same exact profile 2 wheel face concavity.

Can we fit those 18x11's on the M's?

You can absolutely fit the 18x11's in the rear as long as you have an MZ3. Non-M Z3's have less rear wheel and tire clearance not allowing them to run as wide wheel and tire set ups.
