    Warning lights after battery disconnect

Just purchased an M roadster, 00. very nice car.

The car was hit and fixed 1 yr ago, L fender, bumper cover, door skin, hood done. No structural, pictures during repair and after. Anyway the guy said all the lights were out, but then this winter while the car was parked the battery went dead, completely. He replaced it this week when he went to get the car out for some current pics for me.

Now i have an ABS, airbag, Service engine and ACS light all on, as well as no programming for the remote entry. The radio was also out, but he got the code for that and that's programmed and working.

Does this sound right, anyone had this problem before?

What do I need to do to get them reset/evaluated?

Are there any scan tools that we can buy to read and reset codes ourselves...assuming the BMW dealer is going to rape me to do this?

Any other problems I should be looking out for on this car? It's got 15k miles now.

    Thanks from a New member.

You may want to take one for the team and get a mild raping from the dealer to find out what all those codes are. Once they're gone you'll never know.
