My 2013 X1 with 1700 miles on Goodyear 225/50R17's had a nail in the right rear tire. Fortunately Goodyear was able to repair the tire. Would I be better off switching 4 tires for non run flat tires and just return the run flats at the end of my 3 year lease? The OEM run flats have gotten such lousy reviews and am wary about driving on them.

My 528 is a German Tank..
My 2008 Chihuahua is Blue deal with it
Always teaching now getting paid for it.
The only problem with dropping run flats is being stranded without a spare. I've considered dropping the run flats on my 750Li because they're summer only tires.... the only maker of all season run flats I have found for that car is Bridgestone. I wouldn't want to be stuck on the highway with a flat tire at 2 in the morning with no spare. So reluctantly I have stayed with run flats and will be switching from the OEM Pirellis to the Bridgestone all seasons.
Makes sense.
1. Go for non-run flats
2. Buy a sealing kit and portable compressor
3. Put on and in car respectively
4. ???
5. Profit
