My uncle had a little 4 door rover sedan in the US in the early 70s. I’d have to ask him whether it was a 3500 V8 or not.

Kid next door has an old school Volvo. He might buy my M3 and put the engine and turbo bits into it. Not sure if it will fit

Someone watching that is rich, send me 50K cause I'd love to build an old rat rod chopped 32 Vicky or similar with a turbo S52. That would be a handful.

Just looking in the forced induction classifieds I notice a few of the Lounge members are selling stuff to upgrade. The drag list is going to be great next year.

    One of these right?

My Grandpappy had the p5 sedan

It stayed in the family till my aunt sold it in the late 90’s.

There is a Rover 3500 sedan V8 running in the lemons series and it's not bad. They are now in class B up from C because it's reliable now. It's called Super Grover because it has a giant Grover on it's roof.

If the e36 is getting power what would be wrong if it's not cranking over?

Starter and or fuse is a possibility. Any other? It's an automatic.

Owner says it was running fine then parked for the night then won't crank next morning.

Don't offend him. I would offer $500 over asking price just so you don't piss him off. He seems hostile.

I'm thinking it's a rare color plus slicktop but still needs slot of work. Is it worth it?

I guess it would depend on personal goals one would have for a M3 like this. Boosted with a widebody GTR kit would be a good candidate.

Dam these forums are dead. I find much boredom lately. On here. The old days of MilkT vs the world of Blue Oyster Club members is missed. We need more surfing, Ice Cream Sandwiches and Gordons fish sticks.

It will get lively again when Epping opens up. Everyone is secretly setting up changing stuff for opening day.

    Butters project GO-FAST (LOUNGE STYLE)

    Let's revv-ive The Lounge.
    Update......
Had to sell the Alpine white M3 last year due to BS life threw at me. Then karma came back good and I bought a rust free e36 328i for $200. It has the regular e36 issues sunroof not working, driver window motor, sagging headliner, etc, etc...... The engine bay was really clean though. The oil cap was remarkably clean and didn't look like it was wiped off to hide anything. This is also the same car that I was asking about the starter issue. It's auto so I'm already piecing an auto to manual swap.
Looking at the VIN I learned that this 3 series was made in the USA! I thought they were all imported from Geemany.
First thing I'm doing is pulling the starter and have it checked.
Butters do you still have a boost leak tester for sale? Also I need some head studs as well.

In fact, the lounge got kicked right out of Ireland years ago.
