Attachment 642955Many sort of hibernate during the cold dark days of winter. I am hoping to get my shop heater running this weekend. It’s mounted and exhaust is plumbed but I still have to do the gas line. Luckily in the fall I put the AC in the wall and it has a built in 12k heater that can keep the room at 60F.
Awesome Phil

I saw Butters about 10 days ago and don’t think he has started his turbo E36 yet this year. I have not driven mine since March. Waiting on an 80lb tune and also need to finish up my GS6-53 swap. Maybe August. Different priorities lately. I think my wife’s E61 535xi wagon needs new turbos so the E36 must come off the lift soon. It has been resting 7 feet in the air for months.

Yea Butters is a busy guy. Right now I believe he's in the process of tearing apart his kitchen and doing it over. As for my car it has about 2000 miles on the new engine we put together and the new setup. Only been able to make it to the track 2 times last time being like a 90 degree day which the trans and clutch hated. Lol at around 14-15 psi so far I've gotten a 11.7 @ 122 with only a 1.8 60'. We're thinking my slave cylinder is failing so I have a new one ready to go with the rogue adjustable rod. Once that's done we'll hopefully be back at the track with mine and Greg's car.

Once you are up to 22 psi, the turbo will wake up and you will be beating last year’s trap speed. Your ET is already great so that will be harder to improve.
GG needs a turbo kit for his E36.
I think with the CAE in the car now I can improve my e.t. that 10.9 was with a 1.8 60'. I've gotten it down to 1.6 before. With more trap + a lower 60' it'll be interesting to see where it ends up. My goal is mid 10s at least. The car is also sub 3000 lbs now.

No one has been very active. Mod Addict ran a 10.1 or something like that at 145mph and E36Myelo ran very high 10s at a little over 130 a couple of weeks ago. Butters has barely driven his car this year. He mostly drives a WRX wagon. I finally wrapped up the loose ends on my GS6-53 swap, but then the car would not start. Butters came over before I crushed the car and we swapped in his ECU and it fired right up. Turned out the new tune for 60 lb injectors did away with the previous ews delete. We aligned the ews and it fired right up. Now I have to break in the twin disk ceramic clutch and get used to the late and high release. Probably everyone will go into hibernation in 2 months.
Good to see you got that worked out. That program came in handy for me too. Lol such a simple little program can decide whether a car works or not. Yes we went to the track a few weeks ago and mod addict ran a 10.0 I believe spinning a bunch. He did trap his new PB of 144 mph though. I went 10.9 @ 130 on around 18 psi of boost with a crappy 1.8 60'. This past weekend at an IFO event I wanted to turn the car up and run a lot more boost and see if I can go a low 10 at higher than 135 but ended up dumping the clutch accidentally at the light at like 5500 rpm lol. The axle broke somewhere and I towed the car home. I'll be taking it out this weekend hopefully so we can see what broke and hopefully fix it quick. I was matched up against a GTR that was running 10.7-10.8 all day long so I knew I had to tree him because he'd have a better 60' then me. I had turned my boost controller up to 70% duty cycle right before that pass. The 130 mph pass was at 40% to put that into perspective. The issues I was having before was I was rolling through the beams because I was still on the clutch slightly at launch and then it would take off causing the crappy 60 foots. I tried to take care of that but dumped the clutch by accident and the car dead hooked and broke the axle. I've done a PB of 1.6 60' with the car and a bunch of 1.7s. The cars good for a low to mid 10 if I can get back into that range. Got some good pictures though!

I think he is still on the GT4094R. He originally had a 0.85 turbine housing and I don’t know whether he changed it to a bigger one. He has a true drag car — automatic, full cage, race gas.
Sounds fancy which manifold
